DIY Canoe Kayak Storage System | Best Design

2 жыл бұрынThis DIY Canoe Kayak Storage system installed in my garage is a one of a kind design. I was unable to find a design that I liked so I decided to build my own unique system. If you want to store your canoe or kayak inside, out of the weather, in a secure location, this system may work well for you. It's a simple build with off the shelf materials form my local big box store, and Amazon. I've been using it for a few months now and it works great. If you have a canoe, kayak or something else you would like to store up and out of the way, watch this video.

5 - Each - 2"x4"x10' Lumber

Cool design. Simple. I like that one person can load the canoe by "walking" it up the frame.

Thanks.. This setup has worked great for me. Really easy to use and everything is inside and out of the way.

Not many people I know of whose garage is empty. I use two pulleys, one fore one aft. Placed a hook on the end of ropes to hook to carrier handles on the canoe. Ran both ropes through two more pulleys close together so I can hoist the boat up all at once to the rafting.Then tie off to a wall mounted cleat, and that's it. Simple and cheap.I like your channel, your content is very useful, even for someone living in Southern California. Thank you...

Thank you! This lift has been so nice to have to have and it's really easy to use as well. I may build another one to store all of our holiday decorations.. Bringing boxes down a ladder isn't fun at my age. lol

make a spring release safety lock for the bottom end of that rack. some day something might happen to that rope and it lets go ontop of your vehicle or worse, a person...yikes!

I love it! I want to make it! ! I actually have 3 kayaks and they are a bear hoisting up by hand 1 at a time!

BTW I found you on TT and follow you there too…now back to seeing if you have a video for hanging ceiling fans…I’m ok with most things, but electrical work scares me!
