I got a whole bunch of stuff from us composites luckily they are local so I can just go to the warehouse, they are very helpful too they asked me about my order and suggested different products based on the application I told them about.

So glad I found this channel I’m rebuilding my 2001 GT that was the only thing that managed to survive the huge fire that hit paradise and burned the whole mountain down and all thanks to the power company. Billions in damage and killed 100+ people. Do you have any custom parts that you offer or anything like that? Maybe I don't understand the measurement segment well enough, but it seems like a problem with a lot of these flares that go straight out from the body: Won't the tire smash into it as the suspension moves through the travel? Or are you planning only 1" of travel? Great video, thanks for sharing!

The hardest part I keep running into is making the other side symmetrical with the first side made. Whether it's fender flares or fenders. Do you have any advice for that?

Hi AJ, I'm starting with carbon fiber, and you do it much faster than the tutorial I've seen so far, they always recommend to: epoxy, wait 1h30/2h until it's tacky, lay cloth... and that between each layer, but you wet it, add layer upon layer in one row ! That clearly works, so why bother with the waiting between layers, are you using a special epoxy or is it something else ? Thanks

I tried hot glue on insulation foam and didn't hold at all any recommendations for glue, the only thing that work was super 77

Around the 25 min mark where you finished sanding and applied the table top epoxy. I thought you can’t sand carbon fiber or it frays. I have a painted carbon fiber part I would love to go back to a bare carbon look. Can I just sand down to the carbon and then re clear it?

Time 19:32. The process looks like a carbon fiber skinning. My question. why you didn't wait to base coat get sticky to the touch to put a last finish layer of CF? . I noticed you applied a base and put the final layer right over it and wetted out. #4. Time 22:55. Table top epoxy. What hardener you used . Slow, fast mid? Is that coat came out clear ? Thanks

Question, since you coated these in the epoxy that is more used for table tops would they still have the same release characteristics if you decided to make a mold of them in the future to reproduce them? What type of foam is that - looks like insulation board? I guess it doesn't need to be epoxy resin compatible since the packing tape protects the foam?

I’m joining this chat a bit late. Quick question; do you not have any concerns with the parts warping during cure due to laying the carbon weave in the same orientation/direction?

For lighter fairing you can use WEST 407 low density with epoxy for strong light fairing. Because of the dark color you can't use the 410 it's actually lighter. Here's a link www.westsystem.com/407-low-density/ Much stronger and lighter than bondo.
