I like the paracord covering idea. Thanks for the video. Also, your vents turn, which is great, so that the phone now can be turned, too. I think other cars will just have the horizontal view because their vents can't turn.

another thing you could do it melt the end of the parachute cord so it doesn't fray and it looks neater...

sadly I think my mobile is too large, and I worry about the pressure of the rubber bands. And even then it's too prone to bouncing out. To be fair though I couldn't find paracord and used a USB cable.

You got to watch out for the corp and the capitalist business. They can make phone mounts for maybe less than $2, and turn around and sell it for $60 they don't care about the consumers the only thing they care about is profit. Is better to make your own while they keep getting rich off there ripping off customers they literally take advantage of customers ,they are thieves ,especially the ones that are poor. Customers are already learning how to grow their own vegetables fruits raising chickens for their eggs and fixing their own cars and their own things.

great idea, specially the parachute cord, but how did you actually twist it to the vertical position whilst mounted?

My Vents in my car are circular, and they twist horizontally or vertically. If you have rectangular vents, you are only able to mount in the horizontal position.

It falls off the vent...the vibration from the road and if you have to drive over road humps cause the clip to eventually fall from the vent....not great.

We used a phone with a 5" display in the video. You can probably get bigger binder clips for a bigger phone.

You just need a bigger clip! Even if it's not at the office supply store for the usual office stuff, there are bigger clips, like novelty or craft stuff, that you can get at other stores like craft stores. (eg those huge 12" paper clips, so there should be the huge binder clips too)
