I decided to buy another inexpensive car stereo for my Toyota Tundra. I'm looking for a place to mount my new LED Light switch panel and I'm hoping this will do the trick by freeing up some space in the stereo area.
Then, I thought it might be a good idea to show everyone how I wire my stereos. Lots of people don't know how simple it is to do a basic stereo installation so here's the how to video.

@@ChadsGarage1 hey I connected all the colors to each color I was left out with a orange one from the adapter but everything else was on the right order but it didn’t turn on do u know why? I have a 2002 tundra I got the same adapter and same stereo

I love the Dual brand stereo from Walmart. I always put them in my Peterbilt’s. Except my radios were $22. 4x50/200w

The four paired wires whith the stripes are the four speaker wires.Front lleft amd right and rear left and right.

If the factory plugs are already cut off, then you test the power wires.find the key switch and constant hot ! 😂

THE YELLOW constant 12 volt hot wire i tie in 2 knots.Tie one knot on the red 12 volt key switch wire! Then at night i can feel what they are in the dark.

Thanks for that. Its the BT connect is the buy point. Now a guestion on your LED lighting set up. How good is the throw of light from the bar? As you have the truck cab in front of your lights I wondered if that hindered the light output and throw going where you wanted the light to be?

Great question and thanks for watching. Honestly I haven’t wired them up yet. That will be soon but several things need to happen ahead of wiring. I’ll be doing a custom switch mount where the stereo goes so that’s going to be a chore. There will be a video on that and come to think of it, I’ve got a few more days off work so now would be a great time to make that happen. I’ll be doing tests in can so everyone can see how the lights work in action.

Loved your info on the 17 dollar wal mart xdm 17BT. PS I am a senior citizen.. My vehicle is a 1996 Ford windstar, how do I keep my antennae. Also, think I need a microphone for my blue tooth. phone while driving. My daughter put it in for me. Mama mia,, had to buy another one. Love your assistance!

Thank you for watching! This unit has a built in microphone so you won’t need to buy anything extra as far as that goes. May need to buy an antenna adapter but that should only be around $10.

Yellow wire is to key ignition run and accessory.

I bought the same radio then got the harness for my 06 Elantra from best buy. The colors don't completely match. I'm like 95% sure I know how to connect it together tho. Will it ruin anything if I have a speaker wire or 2 crossed?

It won’t hurt anything but it won’t sound quite as good.

You will need an adapter for your Toyota.

You don’t need an app. Just pair it via Bluetooth.

I got it from a local stereo shop. Walmart has a decent selection, Autozone etc. or Amazon.

The wiring harness can usually be bought at Walmart. If not, try a local auto parts store or Amazon.

Can’t remember right off hand. Just follow the wiring harness from the back of the radio. Takes you right to the amp.

You guys. BUY THE WIRING HARNESS FOR YOUR CAR. It's literally color coded just match the colors and your done. Also get the right dash kit.

The only problem with this stereo is it’s TOO small DEPTH-wise…. I bought a matching dash kit , same as yours, and could not find any mix and match that would do anything to hold it in place so I literally screwed it into the dash kit
