I love your pattern, the way it's sewn you can't see any fray edges at all. I love it. I've made a few of these masks for my daughter who lives in Melbourne, Australia where they are in lockdown and hve to wear masks when they leave the house. 🙂

Thank you! Happy to hear you like the pattern. All you need is a piece to cover your mouth and nose area. Another option is to trace mask you made to make a pattern piece by tracing it. It don't have to be perfect and then trace about a 1/4 inside and cut out the inner trace. place it inside and see if it fits you might have to do adjustments till u get it.

This is the best face mask pattern! I was just wondering if you have the pattern with solid lines around the pattern as my Maker doesn't recognize a dotted line. I can make so many masks with the Maker it would be helpful to have a solid line to be able to cut multiples at one time. Thanks!

Thank You so much. Happy to hear you love the video. This is a one sizes fits all. you can do adjustments by adding more elastic or using less elastic. In the pattern, I list the size elastic to use. For a toddler size or for a wider face size I do have those available in another video.

I love ❤️ this pattern my mistake making the mask when I folded the sides I sewed then down once I folded them in (mistake)the when around the long sides, I should have. Folded the sides in without sewing the ends down. Sewing around the mask secures the end folds Big big thank thank you for taking the time working with me. You you are the best

Hi, You might try tightening the elastic around the ears a bit. also do you have a nose support in. Though some say that it works without the nose support

Hi, I am wondering if you are having any problems with the wire discoloring fabrics after washing?
@Lelesdesigns
@Lelesdesigns 4 жыл бұрын
I have washed mine at least 6 times and not had any discoloration. I also have steamed my mask and no problem with discoloration. I recently starting using a nose bridge that I show in this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/adSPp9KfsM22faM.html and that nose bridge is made of aluminum and will not rust it is is easier to place the nose piece by using this process. You might want to check it out.

I only offer free printable pattern. It is too much work to measure on curves and its not always accurate. This is so much easier. If you don't have a printer then you can see if a family, friend, neighbor, co worker or print at the Library.

Hi! Thanks for this video. The link for polyester is for only solid colors. Does 100% polyester come in prints? Is the outer layer you uses polyester? Also, if the interfacing is 100% polypropylene, can it be sewn in?
@Lelesdesigns
@Lelesdesigns 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Veronica, Yes there is some that have prints I just could not find any online at reasonable price. No the mask I made for the video happen to be cotton . I was making this video before they came out with the new guideline and it was going to be too much work to change it so I kept it. Sorry for the confusion. Im not sure if its a good idea to sew in the polypropylene cause I don't think it will hold more than 3 washes. Where if you uses it as a filter you can still wash it in the machine or hand wash and re use it a few times. Once it falls apart you can easily replace it.

@@Lelesdesigns I wonder if Pellon's 915 Cambric or 350 E-Z Stitch can be sewn in & withstand several washes? And wonder if polyester on outer is breathable. One more thing, I love the face mask pattern you provided, but it tends to drop when speaking, but it fits great otherwise. Any suggestions?
@Lelesdesigns
@Lelesdesigns 4 жыл бұрын
The pellon 915 I think would hold up in the wash but maybe run a test with it first. I was not certain when I heard use polyester as I thought the same is it breathable ? Then when I did research I found the reason workout clothes are made of polyester because of the lightweight and breathable But because it's not absorbent, the sweat doesn't absorb into the fabric. Though I would check the fabric to see if it breathable before you make the mask, also you can check at the fabric store and see what other material you can use for the outer layer as they state it has to be water resistant material. So maybe there is another fabric choice you have besides polyester. It should not be dropping when you speak. You might have to put a nose guard in there if u don't have one and if you do might try tightening your straps on your ears.
