Thank you! I have been making your other designs for a while now. I am going to give this one a try. I really need one to expand so I can talk with my co-workers without getting too breathy while talking. I am going to add a layer of flannel so that it is triple layered and easily washable. Thank you for your time and effort in helping all of us rookie's.

Recent test done on whether to use pins. Stated cotton is breathable and has holes no matter how tight the threads are on the cotton. Stretch material to go back in place. Washing also gets rid of pin holes. I use clips because I'm tired of getting picked. Bottom line the seams and the pins are not putting any more holes in the material. 2-3 layers helps. Mask fits with no gaps is a must.

Yes Sherry I agree with you but you would not believe how many message I got from the Pin hole police LOL. They just don't realize you are pushing the threads aside and it can easily repaired by washing, scratching in place or spraying with water and ironing. To avoid dispute from my viewers I started stating to use pins sparingly and use clips. This way it stops any argument in my comment feed and getting a dislike on my video

Thank you Lele. I am going to give this one a try tomorrow. Spent a lot of time messing up other patterns I have tried. Not giving up! I will succeed. You're a great teacher! As is #JanHowell - grateful for all of your experience and sharing. Helps a lot of us first-timers with sewing (especially with a machine).

Would be more helpful if you used colored fabric even 2 different colors as the white fabric is difficult to see as it blends in with the press board.

Any recommendations on elastic length? I used 7" like other patterns & it was way too long.

I am not sure if you seen it on my pattern. average face is about 6.5" elastic if you have a thinner face then about 4-5" The face mask is a little longer than most mask so you will need less elastic.

DO YOU NEED TO ADD SEAM ALLOWANCES????? THE PRINTOUT DIDN'T COME OUT TO MEASURE 4" ON THE EDGES...*****

yes it is a 1/4" seam allowance. You should seet your printer to print letter size. make sure it is 100%

LeLe would there be an issue adding a top stitch around mask when completed? If not would you suggest a 1/8th or 1/4? thank you so much for this I was wondering myself about why this style;e wasn't out there yet!

Great idea on the top stitch. I would say 1/8"
