A lot of you B8 guys have been asking if I ever figured out the exact parts needed for my DIY intake to work on your cars, so this video is for you. Check out the links below to find the parts, or to watch the original DIY video (Which I highly Suggest you do so you don't miss important details).
WARNING:
-Make sure you choose the correct size silicon adapter to fit your throttle body!
-Depending on the silicon adapter you choose, you may need to trim it to get fitment correct

Follow this link to the complete parts list on Amazon. **Original Video: bit.ly/3vXnQ8B ***MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE THE CORRECT SILICONE HOSE FOR YOUR THROTTLE BODY*** -3" to 4" = OEM Throttle Body Hose application -3.5" to 4" = 80mm Throttle Body Hose application ALSO! Don't forget to buy a breather filter for your Secondary Air Injection line (the one that connects to the bottom of your oem airbox). I'm working on finding one to add to the Amazon parts list. Parts list: tinyurl.com/mt2vh57x A substitute for the Blox filter (which is largely sold out because of this video) is the AFE 21-60507 filter. You will still need a velocity stack, but that filter will work as well.

I built a kit similar to this a few years ago. I used a flowmaster cone filter off eBay. Still seems to be available over there although price has skyrocketed since I bought mine.

with your custom 80mm throttle body alternative you made a video on work with the intake hose from 034 Motorsports intake or the upgraded throttle body hose from 034

It works good but I need to make some type of heat shield, I have a C7 and after driving it for a while I definitely notice a power loss.

Your power loss has nothing to do with your intake. You need to upgrade your heat exchanger

Just did mine today, one thing I notice is after a drive and you check on it an hour later the intake tube is crazy hot and the fuel line sits on top of it. The other thing is the 4” cone weighs the front end down so it rests on the hard coolant line. Do you see any issues with this?

How did you get the secondary silicone hose off the back bend on stock intake, did you cut it out even just replace it? That bugger is on there good 😂

Is it worth doing it in plastic instead of metal pipe? On another car I was told by a tuning shop that the metal intakes they see absorb more heat and reduce power but I didn't see any data backing it up so might be BS

If this were a naturally aspirated car, maybe slightly. But you have a supercharger. The air goes nuclear when compressed. Any heat from the engine bay is negligible compared to that (and all the hot air is flushed out by incoming cool air when the car starts moving). That's why you have a dedicated supercharger cooling system consisting of a heat exchanger, along with two intercooler cores in the supercharger.

Hey I just went to go buy the PCV relocation kit from Mercracing and saw that the billet pcv housing adapter is out of stock. Do you have any info on if/when it will be back in stock?

I use my CANsensor for live monitoring while driving. Otherwise they are data logged when I do pulls. But intakes have no effect on IAT's for our engine.

Did this same intake, no tune and I’m getting an engine over speed code? Any ideas?

That has nothing to do with the intake. Engine Overspeed codes usually happen when your TCU redline doesn't match your ECU redline. You sure your car isn't tuned at all? What is the actual code you are getting? (PXXXX)

P0219! And I don’t think so.. I just purchased the vehicle and it was bone stock so it wouldn’t make since for the previous owner to do a tcu tune but not do anything to the intake exhaust or supercharger?

@@AudiC7Owners yes sir I’ve seen it pop on 2x now, I’ve got it recorded at 7k rpm. Knowing my redline is 6500 how did it get 7k?

I'd either see if there is an ecu/tcu update available from the dealer, or I'd look into getting an aftermarket tune

I got rid of the RS7 intake a LONG time ago. I was using bad information at the time of making that video, but after doing a lot of data logging and discussing things with other well educated 3.0T people I realized the error, so I removed it as to not confuse anyone else.
