Today, I'm bringing you guys a start to finish kitchen makeover! Along the way I'm sharing with you all how much I spent on this entire project. It was A LOT of money-- but I do not regret it! I'm super happy with my kitchen and how it turned out. This was the main area in my home that I knew I was going to go all in on. Everything else-- ya girl is doing it ON A BUDGET!

I think it was worth it and the kitchen itself wasn't so huge which would have just ran the cost up more. I love it. People spend more on cars that depreciate immediately! This is an investment that will pay you back if you ever sell/rent. Very inspiring!!

Thank God for your vision. I love, love hardwood, but not on walls. Makes a house seem very cold and dark. The previous owner had waaay too many wood details throughout the house, but you my dear brought that beautiful house back to life!

Kayla I have watched four new home fixer uppers of youtubers and I have to say yours is the most influential and exciting because you actually did the majority of the rehab yourself along with the great help of Marcus. Your rehab really shows that it can be done. The other youtubers hired contractors or had friends in the business to help. Beautiful kitchen! It just goes to show that you can get an absolutely gorgeous space on a budget. It cost far less than I expected, I thought it would be closer to 15,000, actually even a bit more. I have to add, I LOVE your fridge, it’s so cute.

This is amazing. We bought a 3k square foot house that was going to be a remodel project. Sadly all the people that said they would help either didn't help or they just screwed things up to make more work for us. Projects fell through and we ended up selling the house. I'm so glad to see that your house has turned into your dream.

My niece and her husband have been fixing up their first house for over two years. They are doing most of the work themselves. He is a teacher also! My niece was born blind, but.....she is doing half the work. She got a degree in Social Work and runs in Marathons, does Kick boxing, and spins wool into yarn, eyes it, and knits things to sell online! He can see, and they have been together for over 16 years. My nephew and his wife bought my parents house after my Mom passed away, he and my other nephew ( his brother) his Dad (my brother) and a few friends, completely remodeled it. Put a second story with 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom with a stackable washer and dryer, extended out the existing bathroom over the basement stairs ( it was kind of small.....my childhood bathroom. 1 bathroom for 4 people! Lol) he opened up the "kitchen & dining room & livingroom and the two main floor bedrooms" to make it all open. He moved the front door from the middle to the left side ( closer to the driveway) opened up the Screened in front Porch, put Yellow siding on it ( we had light blue siding. Brown " sandpaper siding when I was in grade school. The light blue siding came later on, when I was in middle school.) He built new stairs to the basement and the nice stairs To go upstairs. He put in All new windows, made a sliding door to the backyard with a porch. A two and a half car garage, And a big wooden swing/ Slide set for their daughter ( my great neice). The several years later, sold the house and bought another one. He did everything, with our family except the electrical wiring. It looked beautiful! 😊👍
