DIY PVC Rain Stick

This DIY PVC Rain Stick is a new design that I came up with. I hope you find the video useful as well as entertaining.
The rainstick is believed to have been invented by the Mapuches (South American indigenous people) and played a role in their belief it could bring about rainstorms. It was also found on the Chilean coasts.

Thanks so much for your reply! I had tried Lowe's and also the Home Depot with no luck. It seems that nowadays, at least in my area of Tennessee, schedule 20 is the elusive unicorn of PVC pipe. I did, however, finally locate a very similar pipe-wall thickness by contacting a local irrigation/ landscaping company and using what is called "class 200" PVC pipe. Once again, thank you for your brilliant design. I would love to have at least a first name so I can credit you when I show my custom-made rain stick during my "Sound Healing" group. Jack

Very creative, great idea and the sound lasts pretty long given the length of the pipe....

I'm having one heck of a time finding schedule 20 PVC pipe. Can I inquire as to where you were able to get it? I would love to try your ingenious design.
