This will be perfect addition to my sound healing sessions I do with my Mum. My old bought rain stick died & I wish I knew earlier just how simple it is to make! Thank you. I have a project where I am utilizing bamboo to make guiros. We received a nice donation of bamboo from a local garden and want to use it as best we can. Bamboo sequesters carbon and is considered part of the regenerative practices that help heal our atmosphere.

How did you seal the other end? I just got bamboo off the road today and only one side is enclosed

do you know how keep bamboo from splitting when making this instrument?? thanks

Just tie the end of the bamboo it will prevent it from splitting

Eventually over time the wood will start to split with small cracks. I had this happen to me and the inside started to come out. What do you suggest putting on the bamboo to seal it?

Put some lacquer paint.
