What would you recommend to someone who doesn’t want to rip up the baseboard?

Baby Bird Built if you have something similar I’d keep the existing baseboard in place cutting it flush then adding an identical piece once you build it out. Though I highly recommend just ripping the baseboard out and installing brand new baseboard. It’s super cheap and way less labor
