@@haitibenefits4786 Sorry for the late reply, managed to get one direct from Germany on the day I wrote that. So must've been part of a new shipment I think. Great unit been using it everyday and have also written some plugins for it too. It's a great eco system with real potential, wrote the plugins in cycling74.com Max8-gen but found it hard going to polish them up visually for free release using their ModduoX builder which is all C++ learning curve headaches. Anyway did you end up getting one? Merry Xmas.

I'd say it absolutely would stifle creativity in a musician, but for a person who truly cannot play music it might be the only way they can be creative. I can't build furniture for my apartment from scratch, but i can select furniture from a catalog and arrange it in such a way that is unique and creative. That's the only way i can be creative with decorating as i am not a carpenter. Is this a dumb analogy? Probably lol

@@mattb4640 Everyone has creativity, some is just more "displayable" lawyers and financial advisers do just as much creative thinking as a painter or traditional 'artist'. Of course everyone needs help. and not everyone needs to be a musician you know. Its an interesting topic. What is the goal of accessibility, what the point of it? @benn jordan

@@shitmandood You mean the Mod Dwarf right? It looks more constrained at 4 cores instead of 6 (so 1/3 less power), and I don't know how much memory the mod duo pro has but I'd imagine the dwarf has less memory than the mod duo as well.

It can run Max gen~ patches that are compiled to standalone plugins. You can also convert Pure Data patches to LV2 plugins that run on the device.

I sort of did. My last ZOIA video has a lot of standalone generative patches.

Watched it / loved it. Do you find any interesting or confounding philosophical differences between the three pedals. All are “icon on a string” metaphor- but the physical UX is sooooo different.

@@danielpirone8028 I think the ZOIA is an instrument in itself. As in, I can make patches on it that I simply cannot make anywhere else due to the nature of the UI and modules. The Duo X on the other hand is technically far more powerful but requires an editor and looking at a screen to patch/customize. They're compared constantly but it's apples and oranges to me. I wouldn't replace one with the other. The Digit on the other hand I'm not using for cab modeling and the occasional modulation effect. The Bebo firmware is cool, but to be honest I'd much rather use VCV on my iPad or walk downstairs and use the actual modules. 😎

Yes, but probably not the entire patch since the Duo X is much more powerful (his version only had a quad-core, the current model is even a hexacore. so think "twice as complex" as this patch) .

Honestly, I am 100% out of patience for crowdfunded companies not delivering on their promises. I'm brutal with this stuff. But as far as I know, Mod Devices has exceeded their promises technically in their products. As for the delays in opening more pre-orders, I've had to completely shut down my label due to customs/shipping issues and am getting my haircut by my wife with a dog grooming kit in my garage. So if there's manufacturing delays and they're not taking your money until the delays get resolved, I understand it's frustrating, but this is the product they've poured everything into. Imagine how frustrating it is for them. Your patience will pay off!

Benn Jordan that makes a lot of sense. And I think it looks like a great product that you made a great video for. I contacted them months back to see if I could get in on the round 2 pre-order. It sold out instantly. Know the full release is coming soon, but supply/demand is tougher than usual right now. I get that. Anyway, didn’t mean to come off so negative. Just figure a nice piece of audio kit is the perfect distraction right now.
