How to decontaminate and PROTECT in one step!

This video shows a phenomenal way to decontaminate your vehicle and protect it -- all in one step. The method is perfect for those "in between" months when you don't intend to go all out on a super intensive detail. Let's say you washed and decontaminated with Iron Remover and the decon towel. You took your time, the paint was silky smooth after. You really cleaned out the pores of your paint. Now what?
This method is all about keeping up on contamination that might be embedding itself into your paint in the weeks and months to come. It can be done as infrequently as every six months, or as frequently as every couple of weeks. As long as your technique is sound, you won't be marring the paint with our decontamination towel. And the fact that you're using Ceramic Gloss (or Quick Beads) as your lubrication is just an efficient way to protect at the same time!

The Honda looks clean and glossy and the owner must have been thrilled. My sprayer like yours quit this weekend on the job and it will be missed. The perforated towel is amazing and gets so much work done. I prefer ceramic gloss for the clay n seal because to me it smells better than quick beads. I do recommend buying a gallon of each. Thank you for the video.

the bare / original vintage building somehow makes this video / process seem so much more 'consumable' to the average car care products consumer - like myself. Awesome video. My 22 year old SUV has been polished once. GM white paint from the 2002 model. Roof paint failed (peeled off all the way to the primed metal)and had to be re-painted.

Hi guys, When I was student on a technical school 45 years ago, my teacher taught me to wash in straight lines from front to rear because due to driving, the paint-molecules will structure itself that way. So that's why I always wash that way.

Hello. I watch every video of yours. For me this is simply invaluable information. In the video on the Pan Organaizer channel you cleaned the body using Clay Towel and Iron Remover. This time you used CERAMIC GLOSS. Why did you decide not to use Iron Remover? Is it really not necessary to remove metal residues from the car body?

I’m probably like Nick! I tend to clean on my car more and decontaminate it on a regular basis. I also do some sort of quick detailer more often than wait a couple of months! I sometimes wash my car twice a week on some occasions! I love you videos and I’m a fan of all of your products! I just recently purchased a new to me car and have purchased all my products from DIY! I felt I wanted to use one ☝️ brand for everything on my new car!

Hi DIY team (preferably Yvan). When doing a clay and seal is it better to use the ceramic spray during claying or on the towel while drying? Wouldn’t using it while claying dilute it more and use more product than using while towel drying is it just as efficient with product? I feel like similar applications or ceramic gloss use 1 spray per panel rather than the 2 while claying. Besides increased lubrication is there any other reason to use twice as much product with this approach?

Yes you use a little more, but the additional lubrication is worth it.

What about using the decon towel on PPF??? Also, I have some water spots on the PPF, will the decon towel help to remove those with the water spot remover?? Please discuss water spots removal or is polishing gonna be required?

All our products are safe on PPF. DIY Detail Water Spot Remover should not be used with the Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel . Claying doesn’t remove water spots. DIY Detail Water Spot Remover removes the minerals that cause the spots, to remove the etching ( if there is any) polishing is recommended.

This may sound like a strange question. After cleaning the inside of my tinted windows can I use ceramic gloss or quick beads on the tinted windows to help keep them a bit cleaner or is that a no no with tinted windows? I have XPEL Ceramic Windsheild Tint on all windows.

When using Ceramic Gloss on a dry surface, I’ve noticed the removal micro fiber towel seems to feel a bit grabby, or not slick on the surface. But when I come back in a few minutes and feel with the back of my hand or a clean towel, it feels slick. I’ve seen this same issue on another KZfaq channel where he was trying Ceramic Gloss. Can you explain why we are feeling this grabby or not so slick feeling when removing the product? Only using 2 sprays per panel. Otherwise I absolutely love it!

You’re using one spray too much. Yes it will be initially grabby as the ceramic resins are cross linking

Those electric sprayers are great. I use a black one from CSW for rinseless and a teal one for waterless from Amazon. The battery charge lasts a very long time. Videos with guys pumping manual sprayers is never a good look…IMO

Wear a Micro Fibre wrist band, you will see that you never get close to the paint with it. Unfortunately the detailing industry is filled with people that overthink things and invent rules to make themselves feel better. If you feel better not wearing a watch, that’s great.,
