I was taught with Drum and Bass, you use the snare and high hat to count the beat versus a kick or bass line. First, a snare or high hat is a sharp fast sound and can be used quickly to beat match with; and second, a lot of bass lines in Drum and Bass don't follow the beat count, but might still follow the bar count.

Hello I am someone who loves music and ever since I got into... electronica and of course I feel in love with trance which has friendly beats to blend, but when I heard Apache "Original Nutta" I was hooked, then it just got me hooked, and ever since I got Algoriddim's DJ 2 for my Amazon fire kindle I have been practicing ever since I got this 2 years ago, I have a lot of music to play with and I have been practicing with D&B, I think I'm getting better (probably not) because I keep clashing my tracks like a train wreck, so I really do appreciate your time and also giving the names of the tracks, now I have a 7 & 1/2 inch screen to work with, I wish I had your set up, I just love the CDJ's, most of my music was on CD's but now my music is on a bunch of micro SD cards, now I have been practicing with D&B on the DJ 2 app, but I cannot seem to get used to the UI (User Interface). But I also have sausage fingers with such a small screen, I was wondering about the equalizer controls of the mixer portion, I am so used to the trance beats, transitions Que's, and some mixes I have done have come out quite nicely where as others are a complete mess, so I was wondering if you have a tablet to try out ANY DJing apps on the market, because I no longer have to carry any crates or books of music, I have a 64 Gigabyte micro SD card for my tracks, but do you have a really super basic "How 2 DJ D&B 101"? I'm going to go thru your entire channel to see what you definitely have on this, I also again just wanted to take the time to thank you for what your doing and also thanks for the track listings as well I'm definitely going to be practicing with these 2 tracks, so can you help out a fellow enthusiast of music to help me get spot on with the transition's and with how the equalizer plays into the mix itself as a whole... Now I have seen where DJ's have been using 3 decks to mix and blend multiple tracks ie deck 1 and deck 2 playing at the same time and then mixing deck 3 into the mix and basically starting that whole process over depending on where the 1st track is played ie deck 1... So I just want to be able to nail this Drum & Bass mix that I have in my head for a long time, so please keep up the great job on your videos! I just cannot seem to get my tablet to sound like your set up, so if you do or do not have a tutorials on specifically the mixer portion with how the EQ is supposed to help the mix would be greatly appreciated! I have subscribed to your channel and will be waiting more from you. Again thank you. Across the pond soundsurgen.

Well you will never get your tablet to sound like this guys setup. Compare the price, compare the size, compare the features and quit trying to achieve the same. Now I don't want to say quit completly, I just mean that you cannot do the same on a tablet. If you have a PC you could get Mixxx 2 (it's free) and buy some cheap used controller on ebay or something. Thats a huge upgrade to a tablet app

Thanks for the tips & I hope you still keep on posting these videos ,I'm using CDs 1000 mk3, the only thing I seem to struggle with is the loops, I can loop on one deck and play the other both matching bpms- but always find 1 differs from the other, is this normal or is it something I'm not doing correctly, hope you can correct me on this - and thanks again
