There are a.couple of reasons why I'm thinking about the mini 3. 1: It has the vertical camera. 2: The same wind level resistance as my Air 2.. I'm looking to sit my Air 2 down until I get my Part 107 license. Until then, it's either the mini 3 and the rc controller, or the mini 2 combo. What would you suggest?

Henrik, thank you so much for your wonderful videos like this one. If you are allowed to do so, I would love to see a comparison of signal strength between the Mini3 pro and the new Mini 3. If the new Mini3 has better signal strength than the Mini3 pro, That may be the deal breaker for me and a lot of other people who are fence-strattling between the two drones.

@@TECHDRONEMEDIA Yes, but the Mini3 pro and the Mini3 should have the same noise level. So that being equal, the other important element becomes signal strength. If signal strength is greater in the Mini3 because antennas have been restored to the legs like in the Mini2 than that could be a deal breaker for a lot of people. Who would not want to fly somewhere where the Mini3 pro could not fly because of bad signal strength.

Nicholas Crocker, yes you should absolutely upgrade in that you will be getting a better camera, significantly better range and signicantly better flight time as well as much less noise and the option to get a better battery which should bring your real flight time up to 40 minutes though it says 51 minutes.

That could be the case, but I think it’s more likely to replicate what was used and worked in mini 2

As far as I understand, it’s the same center 12 MP on both drones, but mini 3 pro uses quad bayer technology to unpin the pixels so they can create a 48MP image - it works great, but it requires a lot of light

@@TECHDRONEMEDIA mini3pro can do 6400 iso, mini 3 is limited to 3200, so there will be a difference. its a small upgrade from the mini 2 but ...

@@TECHDRONEMEDIA Thanks for the reply! That's interesting. I wonder how this would affect noise on both drones. Would I be correct in assuming that the PRO's 3200 would be superior to the regular's 3200 in that regard? Request: I would really enjoy a side-by-side with the two in low light and if possible the ability to download the files to see how they stand up to some grading. This is not something I've found thus far on any channel that I follow. It's entirely up to you of course but it would be greatly appreciated!

Mini 2 is still a fantastic drone capable of producing solid footage during daylight

Mini 2 was my first serious drone, loved it when I got it, still love it now. Bought the Mini 3 Pro soon after launch, have to say that compared to the experience of getting the Mini 2, overall the Mini 3 Pro has been a disappointment. The advanced features like Spotlight, Tracking etc don't work reliably enough, lose the subject and constantly make small adjustments ruining the shot. Never had Jello on the Mini 2. Get it regularly on the Mini 3 unless the correct ND filter and settings are used. This makes the Mini 3 Pro a lot less useful in Auto mode, you can't just power it on and launch, you have to do a bit of thinking, assess the light, select the correct filter etc. Could be that once the Mini 3 matures things will work better, but for now months after release there are still many niggly flaws that have to be worked around. Almost sold it to get a Mavic 3 Classic till the CAA/DfT killed off the C-label system. The only reason I will persist with the Mini 3 Pro is the shocking state of the UK drone rules.

You can slow down the footage 50% when using 2.7 K + 1080P that will work in 60 frames per second.
