This has been an interesting experience. I've never really prepared for a DLC in the past. This time I got a couple of old characters and a brand new character up to the DLC and I'm fully committed to playing though it a couple of times more or less back to back. Usually I'd just play through it and then rely on the community to build out the things I missed. This is the first time I want to figure at as much as possible on my own. I think it really says something about the game that it's compelling me to do more than just passively engage with the scenario of this expansion.

I have the self control not to check youtube after I wake up today but props for even suggesting that people unsub and come back once they have done the DLC not many would have done that.

This is legit the only gaming studio that always has me feeling like a kid just before christmas during the hours upon their every release.

Watching this after having gotten Shadow of the Erdtree's final boss spoiled for me a couple days ago feels so heartbreaking. My first playthrough of this DLC has been taken from me, and it hasn't even released yet. I've always been late to the party with Fromsoft games, and SotE was my one chance to be part of that collective experience of experiencing the DLC for the first time completely blind as to what will happen next, alongside everyone else. But now, I'm late to the party before the party has even started...
