Greeting from South Africa. Your videos convinced me to buy the carpe iter tablet. Currently in transit to me. Cant wait to get it installed on the Norden. Seems like there is not that many users worldwide as it seems like a lot of people don’t even know about this tablet. I will give my insights once I tested it in the South African conditions.

Do they have a GPX for Beer? You need that bad. Just got to watch this Tuesday night. Downloaded it. Very interesting and useful. Of course for now I will use USA map. I like this. Seems simple enough with just a little practice it will work well for me. Good presentation Robert. I'm glad you have camping in your back yard. Handy for travelers. Windy is good. I like the tilt and elevation settings. You can locate a good location for phot ops sunset, etc. Topo settings? I like those. Thanks for doing this. A lot of info that I needed. Knowledge is powerful. So I'm very weak. Get ready for the big trip.

My zumoXT just died due to water intrusion so I've been looking at DMD again. The part that I haven't squared away is spending a bunch of money on an app/device that only has 1 developer. I'm going to do some more research on it, but that is a bit of a concern for me. Thanks for the walkthrough!

Watching after-the-fact from the US.

I have been experimenting with tracks downloaded from other sources. However when i import them into DMD2 what i end p seeing is a Track file and a Route file. Is there an easy way to edit out the Route file so just the Track is visible? Thanks

Hi! Started to watch this last night. I´ll finish it tonight :) Tested DMD2 a while back. I downloaded the beta. A question, when I load a gpx file the DMD2 navigator draws a completly diffrent map for me, how do I avoid that? Did you mention this in your video?

As always interesting looking at your “videos” Could not se the livestream, because I was navigating with my CI with DMD2 installed (the “old” version), back home to Dalarna/Sweden, from a 2500km trip in the north of Sweden and the Middle East of Norway. I will stop by some day with local beer😊 Is it possible to install the BETA version, i have the lifetime version of DMD2? I am curious to test it… Greetings from Dalarna😉 /Rikard

I found the "topo advance options" you have to 1st select the off road topo map then it appears in the sub menu list, I still cannot work out how to tilt the map though ?

I have the carpe iter with the same version of the DMD2 as you but can´t see how you make the map tilt ? also you have under map settings an option that i don¡t have which is :Topo advanced options: I just downloaded this version last night so it is upto date, strange it is missing that option ? look forward to the next video, cheers

Yo Robert, can you please share the coordinate of the motoberfest location? I live in Trollhättan and started my tenere 700 journey a few months back after upgrading my A2 to A so Id like to try some new spots! Also, Im thinking to get a GPS device. Running a quadlock with samsung s23 ultra now so I got 3 options. 1st is to run my phone with DMD2 software but it risks to damage my camera over long time use. 2nd is to buy a Garmin Zumo XT. 3rd is to get a full DMD2 package. What would you recommend? Mvh!

Hi, Love your channel :-) But you know since DMD 2 is optimized for Landscape mode and is almost useless in portrait mode (and I use the carpe iter pad in portrait mode) I really want to go back to the V2.77 version. Do you know how to do that? I really tried all the steps (clearing the cash, download the "old" version, uninstall the beat etc.) but every time I have installed the alleged official version the beta pops up when i open the app. So far no answer from DMD and also no answer from Carpe Iter to that problem. Do you happen to know something like that or do you have some contacts which can be ask for help? I really would appreciate it 🙂

Hej Robert. takk for meget bra info om DMD2. endelig et system som har alt jeg har leitet etter og mere til, både til adventure og i fjellrednings tjenesten på snøskuter. Det jeg lurer på er om man bruker en Samsung active tab3 som skjerm og vil ha knapper på styret, må man kjøpe den bluetooth boksen og knapper, eller har de knappene til Thork innebygget bluetooth?? ser de knappene du har ikke finnes hos Thork, er det utgått modell, eller noe du har bygget selv? takk for svar om du har tid ;)

Hello Robert! I am have difficultys to install LOCUS maps on my TREAD SXS powersport.

My dmd2 app doesn't look like this at all. I don't have many of the options you have, especially the map customisation you were doing.

For some reason I'm not getting the Turn by Turn navigation. I can only open a 3rd party app.

Why i see a different layout in my DMD2? I searched for updates, i've changed to Beta version and looks diefferent as what i see hier .

Hi Robert. I have a Carpe Iter bought from Thork but it seems to lack many of the features. I'm guessing your Beta version has these tricks. I'm not bad with technology but I cannot get the DMD beta version. Still, the system is good and it works.

I can’t seem to get the radar screen of the windy app onto the widget screen ?

Just got the beta version. It’s much nicer but noticed there’s no option for lifetime anymore. Too bad.

DMD2 anit the best aft my option, too many bugs and restart to make it work, in road mode! Navigator works everytime.

This tutorial is not very helpful because the DMD2 I downloaded from the Play Store looks nothing like what you are demonstrating. What version do you have? Is it the beta version?

DMD2 software CAN NOT USE SD memory card to store maps on ANY device!!😢😮 My 1 MAJOR reason I will NOT renew my license! I run DMD2 software on a Samsung active tab3. I contacted DMD; their answer; "yes, it's Google's fault".
