Your videos always come to the rescue when I need them! I’m disassembling a OS70 and got stuck here wondering how to remove the cam bearings. A quick google search and found this video and the one that you used wax. Thanks for your hard work on making this videos.

Thanks David for allow comments and what an amazing tip. I’ve a few OS and was always glad I didn’t have to replace these bearings but now thankfully I know how should I need to.

Wow! That’s some great tricks of the trade to get those bearings out. I would never have thought of that approach to bearing removal. Just got schooled by the glow engine guru!

OK I learned two things. First one has to be impervious to pain and second, use moist paper balls pressed into the bearing cavity using a punch along with oil, heat and most importantly patience to remove the bearing. And I was under the impression that there was a bearing puller for this sort of a thing. Nicely done.

I have the same motor that had the same problem but only worse. It looked like it had been run one time then put away wet and left for 40 years. It took weeks to get apart. The followers were rusted so bad they were completely stuck. The cam was pitted and the main bearings shot. The cam bearings were crappy but useable. Thanks for the video, now I know how to change them!
