Another great guide! Thanks! Can I ask, how do you use the CLR? Soak the part or just apply and brush with a tooth rush and wash off?

So you pull the shields on both bearings except for the front bearing, front facing shield?

Just stripped my fs-120 and it too has shields on the rear bearing so this must be from factory.

Hi Dave,have you tried installing the piston in the sleeve,but leaving the wrist pin hole exposed at bottom of sleeve and slide the sleeve in crankcase with rod on crank, then push wrist pin through the opening on case.its seems to go in with less hassle.

Yes that is the proper way of doing this job. It allows one to compress the piston ring in a controlled manner before inserting the cylinder in the casting.

HI, excellent videos, thank you for sharing. one question, how did you remove the piston when you were disassembly it?
@dmrcflyr25 жыл бұрын
The piston pin must be extracted from the piston through the hole in the side of the crankcase.

I realize that, but I don't know how. Even in your video you decided to leave there, but I was wondering if you found how to do it. Thank you

Good evening, regards, friend, could you tell me how to put the os 70 surpass 4T engine in time, since it disassembled and nobody took into account the detail of how the time was. I would appreciate your help in solving this problem. Thank you

Dave - thank you so much for the amazing videos! I am about to start restoring a 1.20 Surpass II engine with a pump that was given to me. Pump and carb are in excellent condition, but bearings are notchy. Do the OS 1.20 Surpass (I, II, and III) use the same crankshaft bearings and camshaft bearings?
@dmrcflyr2 Жыл бұрын
I don't have that information off the top of my head. You will have to consult with the manuals for part numbers.

@@dmrcflyr2 thanks Dave - do you normally see the need to replace the cam shaft bearings as well on the 1.20 surpass?
@dmrcflyr2 Жыл бұрын
In reality, yes, but have I done it every time? No, I have not. I clean them the best I can and go with them unless they are very crunchy and cannot be cleaned to be smoother.
