The only reason the great pyramids don't have any hieroglyphs in them is because they were the last ones built during the large pyramid building dynasty because they basically bank rupted the country/dynasty from the construction process. Plus they realized that the older pyramids were already being broken into before the end of the pyramid building era and its why the Giza pyramids have a more complexed chamber system and no art work unlike the other pyramids. Not to mention the fact that a few years back they discovered another unopened chamber above the grand gallery in the great pyramid via muon tomography which the scan showed that the chamber is not an empty chamber and egyptologist are currently looking into how they can open up that chamber with out destabilizing the already ancient and unstable structure.
