❤My dad of 87 years has had PD for more than 25 years and never developped the tremors. The hardest thing in the advanced stage is their inability to guage their effect on others. We must be all very aware of this. They do not know how they can hurt others around them without knowing it. Some of my siblings dont understand this abiut PD...that the person can say or do hurtful things without realizing it. Those of you reading this with PD, I urge you to make your loved ones aware of this before it starts and even ask their pardon before hand. Its a terribly sad disease in the later stages because nobody wants to be around them. Although I am not so religious...it really does come to mind what Christ said, "forgive them lord because they know not what they do."😢just remember...

Hi Gary, this is something I need to research more. From what I have seen, this is a really new and enlightening area of research. I will make a video on this once I learn more.

Contact report 578 'Billy' Eduard Albert Meier (BEAM): Then the last question: You once said that there were natural foods that could prevent or simply slow down Parkinson's disease in a highly concentrated form. You mentioned vegetables that contain natural nicotine, which, when eaten, has an alleviating or preventing effect on Parkinson's disease. Ptaah: 65. That is correct. 66. Pure vegetables, such as tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and cauliflower, etc., which contain natural nicotine are effective against Parkinson's if eaten frequently. 67. A very effective extract can also be made from these vegetables, which can produce very beneficial effects.

can you share info about RBD progressing to Parkinsonian diseases? and Parkinsons cause blood sugar rise
@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation
@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation Жыл бұрын
I could cover this in a future video for sure. I haven’t heard about the blood sugar, I assume the stresses caused by PD can result in higher adrenal stimulation and cortisol and that can result in high blood sugar?

@@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation the interesting information I learned is from Stanford research Feb 2023 KZfaq video is that Ozampic was originally developed for Parkinson's then got approved for diabetes as it now weight loss medication. Some doctors think by losing weight you are lowering your chance of heart diseases and cancer. relatively low side effects.

Right. It’s interesting how drugs will have unintended benefits that are completely different from the original intent. PD does not directly cause problems with blood sugar from what I know, but I could be wrong

@@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation so this is my situation. I am 52 y.o. Asian American female. I started to have unexplained bruises show up in places not usually found. about 5 years later, I was diagnosed with RBD. at that time, the stat was 35% to 65% chance of Parkinson's. Now, I just learned 3 days ago RBD led to Parkinsonian diseases 97% in 14 years with study ongoing. this stat is from The Cleveland Clinic. I think I have symptoms but since diagnosis, I was put on Mirapex as an antidepressant alternative so I was on preventive medicine for parkinson's. I don't know if that is what caused the delay or reduced onset. I have will have an appt at Barrows Neurological Center. I know that there is no cure and the parkinsonian diseases with RBD is rather like a when and not if. I just want to know if there is a way for doctors to estimate how far or if. I know A-Sync abnormal protein brain biopsy will say if not how long. I used to work at a law firm handling mesothelioma cases for 20 years. I am familiar with these happenings. people around me seems to not understand that I am telling them a really bad news about me. they laugh it off 97% ..you you will fine.

I am sorry I didn't see this comment until yesterday. Your experience is very interesting and I am sure is shared by others. With regard to alpha-synuclein protein, there is a test in the USA called the Syn-One test that allows detection of alpha-synuclein in the peripheral nerves through three separate skin punch biopsies. If one has RBD it would be a good way to see if the protein is accumulating in nerve tissue. I believe that the RBD is not causing the Parkinson's or other Parkinsons plus sybdromes, but rather a symptom of the underlying disease process, be it PD or LBD. Here is the site for the Syn-One test: cndlifesciences.com/syn-one-test-skin-biopsy-test-for-synucleinopathies/

I was recently finally seen and told ptsd Is the cause of my symptoms. But I still feel like that’s not totally true . I recently started to even trip and loose balance so I’m going to see a new neurologist. I was also told I have essential tremor . The tremors came and I even had internal ones they went away and only come on in morning or heat . But now I have other stuff going on and the tremors are less . Is that common to have symptoms triggered than kind of die down than come back .

Hi Amanda! I’m sorry you are suffering with this. PTSD may be involved, but I am skeptical that this would cause all of the symptoms you describe. Stress can cause symptoms to manifest more and it’s possible some symptoms may calm down at times and then become “triggered” as you say during acute stress. Interesting that you said heat, as Parkinson’s disease can cause temperature regulation issues and heat could induce worsening symptoms.

@@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation yes I almost feel down in the heat after a dentist appointment. My dentist asked if I was diagnosed with something because my jaw was so stiff . I kind of left the idea this was Parkinson’s to the back of my mind until the dentist appointment and the heat brought back a lot of stuff . Also I had to go to ER I got scared and started having spasms where my torso was twisting . Everyone sees my age and Blames this on ptsd. The previous neurologist said I don’t think it’s Parkinson’s your too young . Thank you for pointing out the s heat and how that can induce symptoms.when I’m suddenly stressed I start to get stuff and tremors and I’ll sometimes trip or get spasms .

It’s a false belief that because you are young that it’s likely not PD. Young Onset PD/Early Onset PD (YOPD/EOPD) are becoming more and more common.

what is the treatment for Parkinson Pts w/o tremor ??
@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation
@parkinsonsdiseaseeducation 6 ай бұрын
Hey there! Well, generally all persons with PD will be treated with Levodopa or Carbidopa/Levodopa to help increase dopamine needed for function. Occasionally you may see a person on a single drug or mono therapy such as MAO-B inhibitors or Amantadine. This isn’t all that common but it’s possible. Tremors are the most difficult movement symptom to treat
