4 жыл бұрынAfter my India toilet review in New Delhi, India, people told me I'd cherry-picked the street and that the real problem was that rural Indians were the ones who did not have toilets and were defecating out in the open. So, let's get out of the city and head to two villagers and see the state of toilets in Indian villagers. Do Indian villagers have toilets? You will be shocked at what we find.
We went to 2 Indian villages, one in Haryana and another in Rajasthan. We chose the Haryanvi village at random, and the other village is my wife's village where she was born. As you'll see, a lot has changed in the villagers since the introduction of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign). Indian villagers have made significant advancements, and not only with toilets!

India is as diverse as it can be..from being the first country to row the southern hemisphere of moon to being the country in which tribal community still exist in isolation..tbh it's the most difficult country to judge and it has both extremely good life style also there are still some places which suffer from poverty and hunger

@@TheStoneWhisperer Absolutely, pets(cows and buffalo) are inseparable part of any family in Indian Village. Whenever a calf is born, people celebrate. You would be shocked to hear another belief. Suppose if there is some death in a family on some festival, people will stop celebrating that festival untill a child/calf is born on the same festival in coming years. It may sound funny, but this is our culture of respecting animals. And it's a popular belief. Cows/Animal worship was a way of protecting them from killing given by our ancient people. What PETA is doing today started centuries ago in India.

Assam also have 100% toilets. And we have toilet before independence of india may be in raw form but now all have modern toilet. In some home prefer double toilet with Western toilet seat coz it is better for old people's. But here I'm telling about all the Assamese and Indigenous people of Assam. Because all the immigrants did not prefer it and they don't maintain any kind of hygiene. That's the saddest part of Assam.

By immigrants whom are you referring to? All non Assamese or just the Bengali society there? I won't comment about the other communities in Assam but well Bengalis have been a part of Barak valley since a long long time. The won't go into the NRC debate but the Hindu Bengali population and the Hindu Assamese population share a common culture and common traditions especially the Shakta and Vaishnavite traditions. And all religions and cultures are taught about hygiene and cleanliness. It's just sad that some people don't like to keep it that way.

It's only been five years since they did get universal waste disposal sites in these villages. Before then they were defecating in the streets. Most people aren't trolls or lying about this. They just haven't been informed of the progress made and this video will help inform the world. So thank you for that.

In Maharashtra all villages have toilets but some mumbai's chawl and slums home no toilet they have public toilets. Villages more clean and developed than cities.

Not all villages. They are cleaner because there is less population density. They are a little more backward than city people since mostly the old generation lives there.

Hey Karl! Thanks for opening my eyes on this situation. I'm happy to see that not only is progress is being made, but that it is happening so quickly! Maybe a separate video topic but has India been getting cleaner? There were swarms of trash and littering everywhere was the norm when I was there last.

Karl, such a nice video. So informative. I really liked the content but I really loved seeing the drone shots from above. More of those, please. Its really cool to see what the farm land looks like from above. It gives a different perspective of what the land looks like. It is something that we cannot see from down on the road. So green, so many trees. I had the opportunity after visiting Agra and the Taj Mahal of driving back to New Delhi in a car. And I got to see all of the beautiful farm land between those two cities and it simply blew me away! We were driving on a super highway and we even visited a rest stop along the way and had a little snack. I really felt that the highway and the rest stop with all their shops was very similar to here in Japan. Another stereotype bites the dust!
