I got the chance to stay one of the most important Ashrams in all of India! Mahatma Gandhi's Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This Ashram was instrumental in the freedom struggle and Gandhi lived there for many years.
Sabarmati Ashram is the site where Gandhi launched his Dandi March in protest of the Britisher's salt tax on March 12, 1930.
Come on a journey with me from Vadodara to Ahmedabad as we meet a ton of my Gujarati subscribers and end up talking with my friend Dicken Patel at Sabarmati Ashram. Then I'll take you on a food and room tour of the Sabarmati Ashram.
If you want to stay at the Ashram's Guest House, visit Sabarmati Ashram's website gandhiashramsabarmati.org/en/ and give them a call about availability.

@TejasM14

Gandhi was a radical critic of economic and social injustice, much of which continues to prevail in India. So his teachings continue to be a thorn in the actions of the leadership who does the bidding of the power structure. So how do you react? You demonize him and his teachings. After all, Nathuram Godse, Gandhi's assassin, was a member of the RSS. And the RSS is the political movement that provides the ideological backbone for India's ruling party BJP. Gandhi wasn't a jingoist. Much like Martin Luther King Jr., he was a man of the people.
