-You are loved by God.
-Love and embrace yourself to the fullest.
-Practice good vibrations daily (Think about the positive emotions that make you feel good✨)
-Don’t forget to meditate and surround yourself people who love you and nature.
What grows hair?
✅Commitment
✅Consistency
✅Care (being extremely gentle)
✅Cleansing (solid scalp and hair cleansing regimen)
✅Crops (crops (vegetables), overall diet, ample water
Hair is constantly growing, but must be maintained to thrive. (Cleansing, grooming)
I have used these ingredients to help me achieve waist length hair. In addition, you must keep your hair in protective styles (twists, braids) for long periods of time. (3 - 4 weeks at a time etc) practice gratefulness, positive mindset, excellent diet, proper sleep, consistency, exercise, gentle detangling, no heat at all (my experience), daily oiling of hair ends , deep scalp massage, diy natural mild shampoos and deeply moisturizing diy conditioners, practice mindfulness and lower stress. The results are my own. All results vary. Hair does not grow long overnight. Average hair growth is 6 inches a year. I started my natural hair journey 10 years ago but had many setbacks as it took many years of research and trial and error to find methods/products that worked for me. Of the 10 years, it took me roughly 4 years to achieve waist length hair.
More insight: I’m a non-smoker and do not drink alcoholic beverages, nor do I take any medications.

Be carful which hair products. Some can damage hair. Don’t grease your scalp your scalp needs to breath. Hawaiian ginger shampoo is a plant which has flowers that when juiced over you a very soap and sweet smelling shampoo. I can’t wait to try this one.

Step 1 - Lightly spray hair with water. Hair and roots Step 2 - gently undo protective style (in my case braids) Step 3 - finger detangle Step 4 - spray scalp with aloe juice mix. (Aloe, ylang ylang, basil, rosemary) - water rinse Step 5 - spray hair again w water Step 6 - Apply Avocado oil to hair Step 7 - Re braid, but leave an inch out Step 8 - Add aloe avocado gel to ends and twist Leave for 10 days Redo I’ll incorporate Ayurvedic oils/sprays as well at least 2x a month (Moringa/hibiscus, Amla) Full wash day with mild moisturizing shampoo every 4-6weeks (This is also when I’ll do an Onion or Scalp oil treatment) Also let me add, I use a diy leave in conditioner only right after wash day. Afterwards, I’ll apply my regular avocado oil to my hair. Do this process for one year, retain 6 inches. Do this for 2-3 years = waistlength Note - I sometimes leave my hair in a protective natural braids style for 1 month. (I wash my hair w/ aloe and ACV and rinse weekly while in braids) Check one or two braids after 10 days to make sure your hair is not matting. The time you leave your hair in a protective style depends on you and your hair. The longest I can leave my hair in a protective style is 6 weeks in a braided style. The time will pass anyway, why not take part in this challenge ❤

Hi Carina - thank you for commenting Do you mean ‘what about diet?’ Yes that is key too. Have to feed the body whole nutrients, it’s the foundation. If the body isn’t healthy, the last it will do is reward the hair/nails/skin. (As it will focus more on vital organs first) I have a video on my diet, (lots of juicing, leafy greens, quinoa , oats, protein etc ) but please consult physician if needing guidance on what to eat.

That’s how my hair grew down past my hips. Then I styled it and applied to much heat and am now starting over. It’s between back and shoulders now In the future I will cold straighten my hair, heat is hard to control allowing some areas to be damaged. Cool idea for the ends. I use flax seed with marshmallow root. I love the smell of marshmallow root extract.

One thing i have realized... if you want to achieve length on type 4 hair you likely need to give up doing certain stules you like. So you have to make a decision. What is important to you? Think about that first. If yiu enjoy playing in your hair, wearing extensions, chamging things up, sying your hair etc...do it! Just dont embark on a hair growth journey.
@tialynn1111
@tialynn1111 10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting!! True about making a decision on what is important to you!💕 We have to be more conscious with how we are handling our hair. If the styles or actions we do towards our hair cause it to break, dry out or be strained (tension etc) these negative actions take a toll especially if done on a consistent basis. It hinders hairs’ potential to fully thrive. I’ve learned so much in this journey💕

I’m glad KZfaq suggested your video to me. I’m very much a person that believes in the less is more concept to caring for hair but for myself personally I often times have a hard time seeing my growth due to shrinkage and would love to try something new for longer length. I’m natural now 14 years but after doing a big chop in 2017 my hair journey hasn’t progressed like I thought it would even tho I leave it alone as much as possible and keep it braided in Dutch braids. I will try your routine and watch more of your videos to see if I can notice some change with my hair this year and thank you for the video, this is great content 🙂✨.

You are so accurate and soothing my hair grew the most by wearing wigs while washing, and braiding my hair loose, and keeping water and conditioner my hair grew down to my butt too the less we do the better and the less heat. Patience is the key I went natural straight for a year but it was wash day and I had to get down I pre pooed and my hair did revert back great with a small amount of breakage because it was burned off not from me I will not be using heat for the next five years so I am looking forward to seeing the growth when I straighten it again at 54 years young😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤

My daughter wants her shoulder length hair to grow to waist length, so she washes her hair every two weeks and then I blow dry it, grease her scalp and put it in straight back braids. I deep condition her hair once a month, and so far I'm seeing growth, but I want to incorporate black rice oil to her routine.

Protective style using my own hair. No extensions. Water, water, water. Jojoba oil. I wash my hair once a month. That sounds gross but when I became natural I was told washing my hair weekly was better. I tried that and it caused so many issues. My routine is so simple. I love being a lazy natural. It works for me. My hair is growing with no issues.

Hi Tia Lynn ! 😊 Just spying your channel and discovering a very interesting lady who shares the same minimalist hair philosophy as me ! 😄 Apparently, the "less is more" way of dealing with hair is the key to retain quality length, whatever the hair texture. I was always convinced about this, but never really could witness it on a 4 hair type. So pleased to see that you proved me right : your hair is gorgeous aaaaaaall the way down, looking super soft and bouncy altogether. You can grow it further with confidence ! 👍🏼👍🏼💜

I wanna play in it tho!!! 🤦🏾‍♀️😩😂 no truly great advice! My go to is Bantu knots so when I need a more fun look, I can take my hair down pretty quickly and get a beautiful curl, but I do have to put her back up in a day or two, otherwise she dries out. Been doing braids and twists more recently. My best results came from keeping her braided under a sew in for about 4 months, which got her from shoulder to mid back length by the end of last year. Leaving her moisturized and left alone for another month or so before we end the year with another sew in. Happy growing Naturalistas!

@@tialynn1111 I attempt to cleanse my hair every week and some times I'll allow myself to go into the second week. About 3 weeks ago I went three weeks and I know better because my hair will start to tangle and Matt. If I do nothing to it it will start locking. My hair can lock so easy even if I don't go 3 weeks I have to be really careful. I've used aloe vera juice on my hair for maybe 7 years. Experience the issue last year and didn't know why I was having such a time but I discovered my hair had become protein sensitive. I have no idea how that happened. And for the longest I was only co-washing and it actually worked for me. Later realize I must use a clarifying shampoo to remove buildup. Therefore, earlier this year I discovered a product called 4 C Only. I luv the shampoo, to leave in, and deep conditioner. This works wonders for my hair. Personally, I don't stereotyping here but this product is made especially for 4C hair. I use the LOC method... My go to method is the leave-in conditioner, styling cream, and oil. Am I bottle of oil consist of different oils. Doing the week I spray my hair with my aloe vera juice and while putting it in my protective style so it doesn't dry out after my shampoo or co-wash. (I don't call wash near as much as I used to). And please please excuse this long message. Is pre-wordy, to say the least). 😂 And I also have a spray bottle with some conditioners and bottled water that I used to spray on my hair (sometimes during the week but not daily) and my virgin wigs. Also every time I take it down I'm detangling. Even when I'm shampooing I'm detangling again because I still have more shed or tangles.

Just a gentle reminder that hair growth is also genetic. My growth may be quicker because of how it runs in my family but it will not be the same for others. Plus hair requires patience and continuity. You have to be calm with things related to your hair, from combing to washing and braiding. You also have to continue with the hair process, keep putting oil and water in your spray bottle and spray it, keep deep conditioning. I really hope this helps someone out there.

Hi, I have been researching a ton on hair length retention and you are one of the first people I've seen who styles their hair exactly like me!!! ^^ Braiding my hair in plaits and leaving it alone for a week and a half at a time has been a life saver. I'm currently mid-back length, and I was wondering how often do you trim your hair? I used to never trim and was afraid. It caused me to have horribly thin dyed hair. I have a much finer diameter of hair 3c. I have been trimming every two months now for the past year and a half and my hair is now thick from scalp to ends, but now I'm wondering if I can go longer without doing so because I really want to reach waist length. On top of that I rarely ever have my hair out, so maybe I'm over trimming? I’m just scared of having stringy ends. I'd love to hear how you go about that. :)
@tialynn1111
@tialynn1111 10 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for watching 💕 I personally wouldn’t trim anymore if your roots and ends are uniform. If you protect your ends (which sounds like you are, keeping them moisturized, protected and being gentle) then I can imagine you will be fine. What I would do is, try and not trim your hair for the next 3months etc and assess them. Are they thinning? Do they look stringy? If so you can determine if you need to trim. If not, why trim. If they are healthy and there are no split ends, there is no need to trim. At that point you would be cutting the new length that you just grew. You should reach waistlength in about a year, year and a half tops at the rate you’re going. Also you mentioned dye, I know dyeing the hair dries it, just be mindful. Thanks 🙏🏽

@tialynn1111
@tialynn1111 10 ай бұрын
Thank you so much. It really just starts with mindset and the conscious decision to start truly caring and being aware of your hair. It took me many years actually to come to this mindset. However, I finally made that decision and so from that point on I just became super aware of things or practices that either hinder, or harm my hair. I started wearing scarves under my hats and have a silk pillowcase that I sleep on (just in case my silk scarf falls off during the night 😫) I started washing my hair on days that I knew I wouldn’t be rushing.. I started detangling my hair , and sectioning my hair (prepping) the day before wash day. This way the wash day process was much easier, less time and was an overall more enjoyable process I keep a digital log that tracks my hair growth. I pay attention and check in w my hair to see if it is looking dry or matted. These steps can easily be incorporated in the mornings and just becomes a part of Your routine. If we keep the same practices up for 21 days, it then becomes a habit. If we keep the same practices up for 90 days, it becomes a permanent lifestyle change ☺️ Hope this helps Will create Wash day on hair video soon Thanks for commenting and watching. Means a lot 💕

I say treat your hair how you would treat a hypothetical bestfriend of yours hair. You would be gentle & soft with them. So just know you deserve to do the same thing to yourself. Become your hairs best friend. Positive affirmations lol “I’m always gentle w my hair” don’t over think or complicate it. Also other ppls experience doesn’t have to be yours. Just because it takes her 15 minutes on one braid doesn’t mean it’ll be the same for you.
