When I first started lifting, I learned to get your face out of the way the hard way. Pressed up, clocked myself in the chin, glasses flew off. Tried to play it like I didn't just punch myself in the face, but there's no way to play that cool.

I just started a 5x5 program a few weeks ago, I started lifting in high school and have lifted on and off since then but I'm trying to make it a lifestyle choice so I'm going 3x a week, starting barebones to get my techniques down and once I finish this program I am going to try out one of your program's! Keep up the great work man!

The breathing up top is probably what helped me the most since i first heard it. Especially in my overhead squat, which also helps my overhead press because it takes a lot to stabilize a weight overhead like that.

I’ve been overhead pressing for over 10 weeks now. I started off with 7 week of 3x15 and then moved into a program with 12-10-8. I’m happy I learned the technical points of attention from you and Alan Thrall so I can safely increase the weight over time. I’m not super strong but it gives a very effective stimulus for my core, delts, triceps and shoulder stabilizing muscles every time I do them.
