"3 sets of 17".. 17? Really? I mean..really?? Are we just picking random numbers or how did you end up at that exact number of reps? 😂🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I must've missed something.

A football player with number 17 that he trained died.
@fantasifoster
@fantasifoster Жыл бұрын
@@franrod5227 that's what I missed then. Thank you for telling me. It's still an odd number of reps, unless the person is training metabolic/endurance, cos it's not within the optimal rep range for strength or hypertrophy, but it's a nice homage, if what you said is true, which I believe it to be. Thank you again for letting me know 👍

9 months later and I just have to add, that is possibly the dumbest thing I ever heard. Don’t pick people’s rep ranges 😂 you don’t know if 17 is too hard or easy for someone, and you definitely don’t know the weight they’re using. Hopefully I never see this bald dumbass giving out shitty advice on my feed again.

@@fantasifosteroptimal range of hypertrophy is 5-30 reps
@fantasifoster
@fantasifoster 11 ай бұрын
@@jay17737 agreed, but 20-30 is on the high end of that range and unless you're training to or close to metabolic failure, you're not as likely to gain the same hypertrophy as when you're training at the lower to mid range.

Are those "reverse hypers" mainly a glute exercise? I've been thinking about buying the one rogue offers to fix my flat ass 😂 I have a bulging disc in my lower back the comes back if I squat with weight, or lean forward with poor form and then the only thing that corrects it is hanging on a pull-up bar to decompress my spine 🤷🏻‍♂️

NEVER 17 REPS. ONLY REPS OF 18-19 or 11-13
@dannytran1587

Reps of 18-19 is comical. You’re not going for strength at that point, you’re going for endurance. If you want to grow your back, anything about 15 reps is severely limiting growth because it’s simply too light

All these exercises terribly aggravate my lower back herniated discs and scoliosis. Do not recommend! For those who have a weak lower back with pain instead focus on strengthening the muscles that support the lower back such as your hamstrings and ABS. Any form of pending and lifting is a no. The only machine I’d recommend for the lower back is the one where you’re sitting and pushing back on it and make all movements slow and do not use momentum.

Thanks! I also have scoliosis ancI'm trying to make a routine for my lower back issues. Most of it involves training hip flexors with kettlebell work at the end for core strength. Is there a routine you recommend?

Bending your back isn’t bad for you. The back isn’t made out of glass it can adapt just like any other muscle. I used to have scoliosis and got rid of it by bending my side and strengthening the ql muscles in full ranges of motion.
