The Bucks have around 182 mil in committed salary next year and they still have to fill out their roster. If they wanted to unload salary, Bobby Portis makes around 12.4 next season. The Kings could used the MLE like a trade exception and use it to trade for Portis straight up and throw in a future 1st rd pick. Portis is a perfect fit on the Kings!

Matt, I don't think you know how good Carter is. I agree with Brenden, he'll be starting at some point during the year. I watched him single handedly destroy the other team with his defense. He'll fly in and grab a rebound away from four opposing players.

Brenden Nunes is wise beyond his years on this. While others in sac media were questioning the pick, saying we should have traded the pick…Brenden was more in tune with what the front office is thinking, especially when Devin Carter was still available.

I believe Carter for sure can be starting 2. He has offense and defense, rebounding, and all the intangibles. He might already be better than what they have currently.

I honestly still think mitchell is a great player with untapped potential. Just hard to actually get there playing behind fox. And I don't think we used him correctly majority of the time.

Im scared of ingram man hasn’t played over 65 games in his career could be a one year rental or if you keep he will be making 50 mill a year atleast with us… I think kuzma will be overpriced since his super great contract but I would try for kuzma and another piece rather than ingram

Really excited about watching our guards dominate opposing teams this year (Fox, Monk, Carter, and Ellis). If we're able to trade only Barnes this summer, and not Huerter, I hope we consider starting Huerter at the SF. Being 6'7 and having played the SF position in Atlanta during the Eastern Conference Finals shows he may be better at the 3 rather than the 2 position. This is provided that we strike out with Ingram, Portis, or Kuzma.

After deep diving all draft prospects for the last 3 months, there was 2 players I was worried we wouldn’t get ..because I thought they’d be a star. It was Devon Carter and Dalton Knecht 💯 Both had something I couldn’t but my finger on, a will and energy to just win

I think the kings are going to use a three guard line up off the bench with Kevin/ duarte being moved to the 3, Keon at the 2 Devin at point, trey at the 4/5 with len or mgee

@@mikelike3877 How about we find another 6th man and let Monk start since he's like the 3rd best scoring option on the team. You don't leave a top player like that as a 6th when there is a giant hole on the starting lineup. lol If MJ and Kobe were on the same team. For arguments sake, would you send one of them at a 6th because they're explosive? No you wouldn't. You start your best players and you end with the best closers.

If he was on another team, he would be a starter. He's only a 6th man on the Kings because the Kings have a lot of weakness on the bench among other things 🤦♂

Look I get it. Monk is awesome and is deserving. If he starts or not I don't care I want his playing time to be 30min a night. Not 25-26 a night. I think that will make more a difference than if he starts or not.

Kings are still way behind OKC, Minnesota, Denver, Dallas, and the Pelicans are clearly ahead of the kings right now. That leave the clippers, suns, Lakers, warriors, Memphis and some random team to compete with the kings for the 6 spot n 4 play in spots. That's 7 teams for 5 spots. The kings have not made enough moves and Monte can't afford to just shore up the edges

@@JustinQuarles my comment was geared towards I don't think making moves around the edges is enough, I don't think a cam Thomas is enough. If the kings want to compete now, it is clear you have to mortgage the future. Making moves around the edges keeps you in purgatory hell. Either go all in or sell it off.

It would go further if he could be a real good point guard....we could trade fox next year for say Flagg and more future pics. It would balance this team out nicely.

If he had the 1st pick instead of the 4th, I say he picks paolo banchero, but if he still picked Keegan, then your point would be valid. For me it's more coincidence than anything else in talking about lottery picks and who was available.

It's not who starts... it's who finishes games. Monk is the player who will be the "shooting guard" when it counts. Again... I say until the Kings gather real "talent" through the draft or young potential guys from the g league..it will be like it's been kangz. But they seem to be taking what little talent to create financial flexibility to make larger moves to get a bigger talent back. Don't push the panic button so fast

@@matthewyip8695 I have never pushed the panic button with McNair at the helm. I understand what's going on. I like Ellis but I just don't see him ready to take the starting spot. He isn't a starting caliber player YET. I would prefer Monk or Carter starting but would also just love to see both Ellis and Carter on the floor at the same time to watch how much they clamp down on opponents

Sir, I generally don’t reply to messages. He surely could do better but saying he sucks is not fair statement. Kings were a mess before him. He brought stability and at least we made to playoffs year before. Kings are a better team and I see hopes for future. Are we all tired for years as Kings fans yes I would agree we are. Go Kings!

I really hope Carter works out for the Kings I'm rooting for him but I will say you guys basically said all the same things about Davion & what happened with that he was a bust like I predicted Nunes is a bit too much of a homer for me I want some unbiased opinions out of these guys once in awhile it's ok to criticize the kings sometimes

Monk is most likely going to continue being the "6th" man and go off that way. If he starts the Kings hardly have anyone who can creat that punch besides huerter but they'll try to move huerter first.
