Thinking it through, the reason you need cold eggs is they contract so they would shrink a little. The water gets between the shell and the egg while shaking loosen them, and the 'strategic nodes' break the shell up so the water would get in. The only thing I would suggest is using cold water in the shaker as well and shake it at a 90 degree angle, so the 'nodes' can break the shells easier.....just saying...

the thing about throwing pasta at a wall is it's not for pasta without air in the middle. So it will work on things like spaghetti, fettuccini, linguini and lasagna noodles. But the ones that are various kinds of tubes and shells won't stick as well because when they hit the wall the compressed air in the middle causes it to bounce. Also those types of noodles are working against the extra horizontal weight so they wont stay long if you do get them to stick. Also be careful about cooking different meats in the same container. Turkey bacon is mostly cooked already so it's not to bad, but you really don't want to be cooking poultry in the same container with any other meats because the cross contamination could end up getting you sick

I think a lot of people eat HARD boiled eggs cold. I think soft boiled eggs might be a different story. But my main point of commenting is because the putting them from hot into cold water I think is supposed to "shock" the eggs which I think essentially means change the temperature fast enough that it might start to separate the eggs from the shells internally. I don't find it works as well with white eggs... I don't know if that's all in my head though after someone once told me they're harder to peel.

I've always used a coffee cup to assist with peeling boiled eggs. You put the egg in the cup cover the opening with your hand and give it a shake in a circular motion (cup is sideways in your hand) you don't have to add water and you can do it while they're warm, It works great and is way faster than hand peeling and much more simpler. The only benefit I see with that product is it can peel more than 1 egg at a time which the coffee cup can't (unless if you use a large coffee cup which I actually haven't tried so don't know if it's as effective.)

They do that with the marshmallows so they don't melt right away when stirring. Also you should add the water then coco mix and then start stirring

i love that someone saw people using a cup of water to get the shells off hard boiled eggs and decided to make a piece of trash claiming it was engineered for that. Also the ice water bath after boiling the eggs helps to make them easier to peel. The egg inside shrinks a tiny bit during the cold bath after having expanded during the boiling. There will always be difficult eggs but most are super easy to peel after the ice water.

When I found the EZ Egg product online it was advertized as '3 egg capacity' but still had that 5 egg picture on the side so I think that image is just supposed to show you the motion you're suppose to use and not how many eggs you can actually put in at once.
@wairgald
@wairgald 2 жыл бұрын
If you look closely in the video, you can see where it shows the 5-egg claim on the box. I'm guessing that the seller he bought it from still had units from when the claim was 5 eggs, but they have since changed to 3 because people were running into the same problem as Tyler.

I've been peeling eggs in a jar for years. When Ifirst started Ibroke a lot of eggs. I know use it with no casualties. You just have to find the right motion. That mug woodwork great for scrambling eggs. Love your videos. Jerry

I think the shaking makes the difference, shaking up and down vs the round motion you were doing might be a thing. Also hard boiled eggs are usually ate cold unless you cook via some kind of noodle dish ( I’ve seen soft boiled eggs in ramen)

We need to see a follow up steak video. The steak needs to be seasoned because who eats an unseasoned steak?? Also try heating the sandwich maker in the microwave prior to putting the steak on it to help get a crust. 5-10 in the microwave before cooking the steak may make a world of difference.
