A build up of residue on the fibres of the wick prevent the wick from burning correctly. A wick should be soft and fluffy so you may have to do this at least twice during the winter months

Just bought one with a horrible manual, thank you for showing the inner workings. It makes a lot of sense now. Thanks!

You're welcome Jonny, sometimes those manuals give so much useless information. Took me 3 days before I finally found the correct wick

Hello i have one heater similar to yours ( zibro R18 E i am having problems with it giving of an odour, also it doesn't seem to be giving of much heat, have you had any issues. Thanks

Hi Martin, I would say your wick is not hot enough to burn off the fuel properly. Let it run completely dry and then use pliers to crack the hard parts of the wick. It should be soft and fluffy. Hope that helps, it worked for me

need to pay attention to the oil gauge!!

The Zibro manual states to store the fuel container full, this leaves no room for the more dangerous fuel vapour. Much the same with aircraft.

wat size wick does this heater take
@davekennedy527 ай бұрын
Thanks Robert, it's a Type F wick according to the manual. I did a google search and also found the number RCA-200. Taking my wick out this weekend so I'll measure it for you and then I'm going to order another one

just get a wick cleaner r take the wick out and clean it and dont let the wick carbon up like that check it befor you light it
@davekennedy526 ай бұрын
Dry burning the wick will clean off the carbon, but my wick had lost at least 5 mm in height, so I needed a new one

You don’t need to remove body to do dry burn
