Elvis had a heavenly gift. he was here to help others and that's why people were attracted to him. One beautiful person.
@andreaschadeck55965 ай бұрын
I’ve seen comments over the years about how Linda would’ve saved Elvis if she had been there. The truth is that if Elvis had wanted her there he would’ve made sure she was happy and there. He liked women and that’s just who he was. He had moved on even though I’m sure he loved Linda dearly. As for saving him; just because you wake up and check on him doesn’t mean he ends up alive at the end. I think Linda got very lucky all the times she says she saved him. I’ll just share that I was down in Ecuador last November. I was at a retreat and on the last night only a few of us were still there. A man in our group had a heart attack in front of us. 3 of us worked on him immediately, I gave breaths and two young men switched back and forth doing chest compressions. He was still alive when an ambulance finally arrived and he did not make it. I was the one in the ambulance with him when he let go. My point is this: getting to somebody immediately does not guarantee their survival. It may have just been Elvis’ time, I don’t know. But I’m sure Ginger lives with the flashbacks and deep grief of that day and doesn’t need any extra burden put on her shoulders. She was just a young woman, hardly any life experience. I know I live with intense sadness for Marco passing in my hands and I had only known him for 9 days. This was Ginger’s partner, I ask you let her live with these memories in as much peace as possible.

Whoever is going to blame someone for Elvis’s death is quite mean. Ginger herself in her book explains why she didn’t hear anything. She had severe menstrual pain, Elvis’s nurse gave her strong painkillers which knocked her out. Right there it showed Elvis’s patience, understanding and empathy for someone he cared for right before he passed. She was a fairly new addition to his life at the time and we shouldn’t judge.

She must have been exhausted after being up all night….no one is to be blamed but Elvis himself….lived an unhealthy lifestyle. Medications can cause acute constipation….he must have been in so much pain and stress that his heart just couldn’t take it….he could have easily dropped dead on stage in front of his fans!

No disrespect intended here but I do wonder why Lisa spoke so negative of the Memphis Mafia. She said...they were worse than he was. She didn't break down by names, but she was very adamant about her feelings. She blamed them for drugs and sex. Why?
@Patracat4 ай бұрын
She was way too young to know them (only 9 when Elvis died), and she wasn't there long enough to get to know them as she got older because she lived with Priscilla all the time except for holidays with Elvis. Priscilla probably brainwashed her about Elvis' friends because she was always jealous of the close relationship Elvis had with them. She was too immature to realise that Elvis needed those guys for security and help in his day to day life.

But how many of us have nagging health issues and just shrug it off and think "oh it's nothing'. Didn't billy say that a lot of that side of the family had health issues, heart trouble etc. No one can calculate when something would happen. What happened to elvis sure says one thing. Linda did tend to stay awakeand check on Elvis when he was out of her sight for any significant length of time. However, whether she would have gone in to check on him at just the right time and/or whether, even if she had, whether she could have saved him, is something we simply don't know. She did say that even at times she wanted to visit her parents, she was afraid to leave Elvis unattended. Still, Elvis could have been dead even before he fell to the floor or only a few seconds or minutes afterward, and there is no way for us to know if Linda's timing to check on him would have been during that timeframe and/or whether, if so, he was even savable at that point. Ginger likely also had no way to know just how precarious his physical condition was and what close calls he had when Linda had been there to protect him. So it's understandable Ginger was willing to take the pain pills Elvis' nurse had offered her. Also, she didn't live with Elvis full time as Linda had, and was used to not spending every night with him, anyway.
