Elvis had a lot of medical problems. Don't think he liked to talk about it. He worked too hard feeling like he had to take care of everybody!Think he was in pain most of times. Elvis was a sick man. He did not want to let down the people who worked for him or his fans. He was a good man and did not really take of himself with all the good food around. He never had a lot of material things or what he wanted to eat. His mother was a wonderful woman and did all she could for Elvis. She did a fine job. I have been a Elvis fan since I was 8

Yes, I believe working hard and having health issues would definitely wear a person out. I went fishing for 11 straight days. I went to work early and got home late from fishing. 3 to 4hrs of sleep. It caught up to me. My heart started to beat out of rhythm. I thought I had some problems so I went to a doctor which sent me to get my heart checked. It all ended up as not resting.

My answer is this. Elvis was a giving generous person. He ran himself in the ground ( literally) trying to take care of the ones he loved. He knew that he had health issues but he couldn't take care of that right now. " He had a payroll to make. " He put too much responsibility on himself. In his mind the drugs weren't even an issue. That was his medication. It wasn't Dope and he allowed himself to be fooled. Coming from an addict ( Actually I'm a recovering alcoholic) you ask ANY addict they will tell you that their addiction is NOT an issue or a problem. I wish there were more people around like Elvis. The world would be alot more brighter.

Flaming Star was great film. I loved him in that. Elvis acting was so good. Charro too..he would have been great in more Westerns, Action films! Such a shame he didnt have the opportunity to, he had such "natural" ability many fellow actors/actresses said so over the years! I always liked "Loving You" too, he was so handsome in that. The songs Loving You, slow version & faster one with his Mum in the audience.. Teddy Bear song etc. I think Elvis had a lot of health problems people didnt realize he had or dealt with. A lot of Stress on him too. The fact Danny said the last Christmas(1976) before his death was different in that he stayed in his room, didnt want to see too many people, just closest to him went up to his room says a lot as to how he was feeling.😔 So Sad. When he was younger he loved Celebrating the holidays. I think life was taking its toll on him.
