Sun visor is the way to go on a utilitarian hauler. I know you are the king of chop, cut and rebuild, but this one needs the look it has. Just a few embelishments to jazz it up a bit. A nice roll back wooden flat bed with a custom hidden winch.

Visor PLEASE don't chop that top. I love the old ford truck lines. The visor looks good and your idea on the doors too, but make them so they can be removed and leave stock doors at a later date. they could even be made in a curve that might allow the vent wings to open.

Bad Chad I love your work. That is why I watch your videos. Please keep it mind not every car or truck needs to be chopped. Some just looks better with the stock body lines. For example a 57 chevy looks horrible with a chopped roof. Please don't chop this one.

Please do not chop this truck it would look badass chopped but you have to take into consideration what a good truck this is it would be different if it was all rested out and junk but this is a very nice truck so please just make a visor for it and control your urge to chop the roof keep on keeping on see you

Yes, he can chrome some sewer pipe with those adhesive plastic strips that he buys at Canadian Tire or Princess Auto. Same place the Hutterites go when they build their hotrods.

Truck don't need a chop. For once build a vehicle that you can raise and lower windows. Be sure the doors will open and close properly. Vent windows need to work since there is no air conditioner in the truck.

Mortske Repair is the name of his channel!! The video is 1972 GMC ramp truck!!! And the new visor is definitely a beautiful look on that older truck for sure!!! I absolutely love them older visors on just about any older vehicles along with even the cars also!!! A visor can make a car or truck that a person may not like definitely change there intire mind with seeing it with the old school visors for sure!!! I’m a big fan of it for sure!!! But that old truck would still be beautiful with out one also!!! I definitely can’t weight to see what else you come up with before it’s all done and ready to haul a beautiful car that you have built or even one that you might be going to rescue!!! Remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!! Oh and tell jolene that she is doing an amazing job also!!!!

Don’t paint the visor, a couple of chrome stacks (exhaust) and you’re golden. I would go for a semi tractor look.

Find an old pile of junk to slash & chop. As you do very well. Leave this uncut original as Henry's boys made it 75 years ago. But make a good looking car hauler body for the rear. A nice visor would be ok.

You're absolutely right about not letting someone change your mind on what you want. Oftentimes when I go to these car shows I see things that people have done to their cars that I don't agree with. I have to remind myself that's not my car. My money and time wasn't spent to make that car that way. That's their vision and what they like. It's these differences that make this world a better place. It would suck if we were all the same. You and Jolene keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep coming back.

Cut the cardboard before the wing window and paint the top of the wing window red. This way you can still use the wing window. Just a thought!!

Looks good! Consider a bulge in the side panels to allow the wing vents to open more. If you drive this in summer, witih no AC, you will love the vents.

I love what you do, and agree that you should do what what makes you happy. So long as there a few original examples out there of a vehicle, then you should do what you feel is right. For example, my favorite car ever is the Ferrari 288 GTO. If I won the lottery then I'd buy one, have it converted to RHD, and have power steering fitted, would replace the turbos, have a six speed gearbox made with a quaife LSD in the Diff, and have the rest of it rebuilt with modern tech, including changing the brakes and wheels, and then I'd use it! If I owned the last original one however, I'd keep it stock.

I love old things. But I also love the idea of modifying old things into new things. Or merging them with new things. So many of these trucks were junked. ALMOST ALL OF THEM REALLY. Nobody thought to go save them. I say do what you want. Chop it or keep it. It IS a beautiful classic. But it’s really just an old truck. And now it’s yours. So make it yours! 😊👍👍

Focus your time and energy into making a hauler bed, and eventually updating and modernizing the drivetrain, suspension, steering, and brakes. No need for a roof chop.

Use red vinyl on the upper portion of the windows. The visor needs a little more curvature to conform with the roof.

I would mount the side visors and step them off the sides of the doors so that you can still turn the air vent window to open so you can still have air conditioning that is what they were originally used for. You don't want to not be able to open them up that's just not right cab would become a hot oven of course you can turn down the large side window but than it gets too loud in the cab, it's too loud on the ears, just thoughts to consider there Chad. btw love the visors ideas no chop ..not on this truck. It would destroy it in my eyes these things are just too rare.

I like the look of the side panels you cut out. Viser looks great. I'd patina both to match the truck. Only suggestion I have is grind sides of viser to match around factory rain gutters for better angle on viser. Loving the build.

The square lines of the freightliner really work with that angled visor. Trying to get that style visor to look anything like a chopped cab on the curves of the ford is like putting a square peg in a round hole. Can’t wait to see how it looks though!

If you make the door window piece the right way, it will allow you to lower door glass for ventilation and lower wind noise. Also keep rain out.

The sun visor only needs mounting on the side gutters unless your doing 200mph lol. Extra strength and support is not needed unless you have weather concerns like snow etc? Wd40 is not good for any paint and especially if you leave vehicle out, it does and will discolor with sun and elements let alone breakdown paint if it finds it's way under it- really not recommended and should be removed asap. Good work and excellent program.

You could make a bracket that fits to a roof running light fitting between the light and the gasket. Well if you wanted to add orange and stainless to the roofline that is.
