Do You Lose Range In The Cold? Let’s Find Out! Throttle-Only Full Range Test On A Freezing Day!

The cold didn't bother my original setup because I had a battery jacket on the original battery, and my second battery was hidden in my rack bag. My new setup is also dual battery, but 52 volts, the jacket won't fit the fat shark battery, and the rack battery is in a cold metal case! Throttle only range is only 56 miles, but I expect it to be 60 plus miles when things warm up.

I lose a good amount on mine, I have a 48 volt 20 amp power triangle pack. I lose about a fifth. I can easily get 50 miles without slowing down much in warm weather, once the temperature goes below 40 I'm down to about 40 miles.

Two questions: 1. where is your throttle? I don't see it 2. does it have cruise control? Couldn't tell if you were just coasting or not.

His thumb throttle is on the left, and he rotates his display to hold the throttle in position.

How do you know the loss of range is not also due to battery degradation?

Would that mean eventually any battery would die out and have to get a new one ? Gonna order a x class but still trying to find out everything I can

@@tbone2123 battery can last for years but generally has limited number of times you can fully charge it. For example 500 charges.
