We figure out some special ways light can hit concave mirrors. If these rays are studied, we can understand ray tracing soon!

Doc Schuster hey doc i am a student of grade 12th in india, n I always face problems while doing numericals, i am a biology student and I guess I don't know a proper approach towards the problem, I wanted to ask if you can make a video showing how to approach a problem and stuff like that. Will give you a icecream treat 😛😛, thank you your videos help a lot

Doc, your videos are really great. Thanks very much for your work. Hate to nitpick, but your usage of "Principle" is wrong in this video. It should, indeed, be "Principal" like the school head, meaning "chief" or "primary".

Do the Fresnel mirrors fix the errors that spherical aberration causes...so that by "cutting up" the mirror and pasting it onto a flat plane does it make the mirror more parabolic curving rather than circle curving?
@DocSchuster

+John Lin Not automatically. They'd still have to design it to be parabolic rather than spherical curvature. I'm curious how F-lenses are made, though. Seems tricky.

+Doc Schuster hmmm yea there definitely has to be some formula/equation to account for a shift in curvature since ur essentially moving chunks of the mirror back to fit it on a flat plane

To identify the type of mirror first you need to draw a silver coating........but anyway great job :)

GREAT INFO THX ( the only reason I searched this stuff up is because I have a science test coming up on it )
