That Fez in the Day of the Doctor is in of itself a paradox. The Doctor finds it at a museum, and goes through a time portal with it. Then, he loses the fez and the queen picks it up, and it ends up in the museum.

I am a little bit confused in this scene, is Tom Baker playing the 4th doctor or is he just playing the curator?

To: Shandili Srivastava - Tom Baker is playing the curator. The curator, analogous to a doctor, is a future regeneration of Matt Smith. Here, he is not the fourth doctor but an unspecified future version of 'The Doctor', although like 'John Smith', the curator is no doubt an alias. Avid fans had noticed that some of the actors that have played 'The Doctor' had played a different character in an earlier episode. It was speculated that perhaps The Doctor could sometimes influence the appearance of a future regeneration for some still to be explained purpose. To celebrate the 50th anniversary the scriptwriters made use of this idea by re-introducing Tom Baker using the reasoning given above. Thus sometime in the future the eleventh doctor will regenerate into the curator who travels back in time to this point where they meet so as to be a personal reminder, re-assure and to prompt the eleventh doctor as to his course of action for his future.

The only real hole in it is that the Doctor didn't get to say goodbye here; he missed it. An episode of 12's run fixes that in a very nice way within the context of the episode, IMO.

I think it was a great missed opportunity in the day of the doctor when tom baker and matt smith are talking and just before baker is walking out he swings back around and says would you like a jelly baby or when baker is gone smith turns around to sit back down there is a jelly baby on the seat and he picks it up and smiles at it... oh well still nice to see one of the greatest doctors return for a small cameo.

In my opinion, the time lords are the greatest enemy the doctor ever faced. Over the dales, over the fiber men, over the master. They created the master, they subjected the doctor to 4 billion years of torture, and most importantly, they started the time war. They are without a doubt the people who have caused the doctor the most harm, and everyone forgets about them.

I thought Davros started the Time War. He said he was going to use the Hand of Omega to convert Skaros sun into another black hole, like the Eye of Harmony, discover the secrets of Timelord technology, and .. *_SWEEP AWAY GALLIFREY AND ITS IMPOTENT QUORUM OF TIMELORDS!_* While the Doctor rigging the Hand to destroy the Skarosian Sysytem, (and Davros's Mothership) probably delayed his intentions, it obviously didn't stop them. Or are you saying that the Timelords started the war when they sent the Fourth Doctor back to stop the creation of the Daleks in the first place?

Mrs Robinson is a character from the film The Graduate (1967), in which young Dustin Hoffman has an affair with his parents' friend, a significantly older Mrs Robinson, though he's supposed to go out with her daughter. Go watch it, it's a brilliant film!

Can I just point out, the Daleks, the most evil, cold, and potentially, powerful things in the universe, who can solve millions of calculations in a few seconds, who have conquered, enslaved and killed billions, put out sun's for the shits and gigles and had a hand in killing off the Timelords took time to learn how to make a cup of tea. Let that sink in fora second. Because that's like using a supercomputer to solve an addition sum. 😂

The Eleventh Doctor said at the end of "The Day of the Doctor" that his goal was to go home. Now after the episode "Hell Bent" where he went home (to save Clara) what is his goal now? My guess would be that he protects the earth with all his might because it is also his home.

I remember watching The Day of The Doctor in thearters(on the 27th since we didn't have time on the 23rd), and as soon as Tom Baker came out, everyone got so excited ;D It was beauitful. If you don't know who Tom Baker is, then you aren't a true Whovian. Tom Baker is a legend.

Not every Who fan knows who Tom Baker is if they haven't watched from early on. I'm not familiar with his Doctor as I didn't watch the older shows. I only know who he is based on my research and a hard core whoivian friend. I do know Baker as "The Man with the scarf" Peter Davidson is David Tennants father in law. Davidson's Daughter Georgia married him. Imagine the children being told their father and grandfather played "The Doctor" oh and their mother played "The Doctor's Daughter!! LOL!!
