This is one of my favorite episodes, favorite Doctor Speeches, I prefer the original Matt Smith delivery but this is pretty good too. The one advantage you have over the original is the Doctor's age... You effortlessly sound believable when you talk about how long his life is while Matt Smith has to act old against his own young face. He does a very good job of it but it still sounds a little more sincere coming from someone older.

How do you know that lucid dreaming is actual awareness and control, and not just you dreaming that you're aware of dreaming ...Anonymous Nightmare when I was seven years old. ...I was in a dark room, i was not on the first floor. Bars around me. A fan on the ceiling.... then bang... I would wake up crying each time.. until I was an freshman 12 or 13/14. Blwhen I told my mom about my dream. She said it sounded like I was talking about my step father's murder. I was clueless I had a stepfather when I was young. Later she told me I had night terrors as a baby after that. Other dreams I have had... Getting my tongue slashed up by ninjas.. making it to a doctor... then I left a girl jumped on my back and slit my throught while chanting. I fell into a pool and then gills grew in my neck. I then teleported to my neighborhood and walked around in the rain breathing until I woke up. My first dream at 2 years old. Was a skeleton driver crashing a truck into the house pointing at me. And circle surrounded me. And I giggled until I woke up. That same year I went to a haunted house in chicago. And at the end of it a skeleton bus driver crashed through the bar wall. And then later my mother boyfriend left a bandana on a lamp and it caught on fire. 2011 I dreamt of falling into a black whole and was torn to the fabrics of the universe and I could tell time as I was nothingness. Same year antimatter and the collider was being used to try and make a god particle. Once in 2012... a plane had crashed near me and released monsters out of cards I had to go around catching all of them and returning the plane to its location. Same year radioactive by imagine dragons came out. Recently a year ago I had a dream of dragons with stars in its wings trying to destroy me and I devoured them.. I was enslaved on another planet for decades doing work for them until i got to use a hottubm.m then i teleported back to my body. I was then locked up in a nut house 500 parsecs away... they told me I would never get free. But as soon as they left. I returned to my body. I controlled no dreams. I just lived them .... Anonymous I jumped in front of a bullet in a dream once... for a girl I loved like 5 years ago. It was the first time I died in a dream.. I appeared before a dragon in the abyss he said "so you have returned" then sent me off to other dreams. I have had dreams training people for thousands of years. I had dreams where billions of years went by and the the infinity stones were calling me while everyone else lost their bodies and selves. I had dreams where aliens had building where their children lived anyone that walked into those homes would be mutilated. And I would traverse them with no fear... and I would allow the aliens to do as they please. So many corpses and bodies. And when I went outside after millions of years humans where terrified of all things. They wouldn't even touch a tool. Until I showed them a simple knife would be useful and I went to war with them. I have had so many adventures.. but none of them compare to the nightmare of a dark room when a person was actually killed. I soul can only be lost once the body dies. And to service assimilation of another type of species you must be true to yourself no matter what. I could tell you the answer to many things. I am a doctor.. of mind. I am doctor feared across the cosmos. Freckles on gingers. Couldn't be anything friendlier. They joke that it is for every soul taken. But when I look at mine. "A patch I see" a kiss from the sun. Apache I might be. The patch is for every galaxy you been to. Every place you saved or destroyed. The doctors are Remedy. I am a doctor with no box. I am a doctor with a thought. I know string theory so well. I can raise hell. I move in the crowd. Always staying prowd. I can train a mind ata singular point in time. I am a god fearing man. Move so swiftly. Many people miss me. I can weave a tapestry of mystery quite simply. I am an omnivore. Omni means three. I eat herbs, flesh and knowledge. I greed for knowledge. I am gluttonous too. I pride for nothing... because I will be left with nothing. I lust for nothing, because it's all I will get. I greed for nothing, or else nothing will be left. I am gluttonous for nothing. Cause I dare not leave nothing. I sloth for nothing,since thing come from nothing I envy nothing. Since it gives me nothing. I wear for nothing. Because nothing will be left in its quake. I was doctor who was still this good but still this makes me feel so many things Can we please get Jodie Whittaker to do this speech? I feel like getting her to do some older DW stuff would let us see what she could with some actual good writing

I've got to say - Of the three Doctors who have made this speech, Eleven is probably my least favorite. It's funny to me, that the Doctor this was written for ended up being the leadt compelling one!

It’s a little jarring to have such spot-on timbre and pitch without a visual to match, a satisfying homage nonetheless. But what makes Baker unique, beyond what even such a talent could mimic, is that he always seeks to surprise and vary with unexpected choices. His “Doctor” would rarely say a repeating word quite the same way twice, especially one that ramps up to such a crescendo. Still, there is so much right about Jon Culshaw’s performance here that it’s hardly worth mentioning. (😏But where’s the fun in that?)
