In the EPIC conclusion to "The Impossible Plant", Katrina and Paula finish out one of the greatest two-parter storylines in the Tenth Doctor's run.
Coming face-to-face with belief in what is to be the greatest source of all evil, how will Paula digest the intensity of what's to come? Will the Doctor make it? Or is it really possible, that it's all coming to an end?

I feel so bad for the Ood. It's not their fault what happened to them.

so many emotions in this ep, the doctor's speech about Rose, Rose even if the doctor was dead down in the pit not wanting to leave him, the ood huddled together, and the relief at seeing the tardis at the end. (I'm pretty sure I had the same reaction when I realized it was the Tardis too) lol

I love how Cthulhu the Ood's heads look. Given the demonic themes of the episode, that can't be coincidental.

I love this story, it’s just excellent. The ideas in this story are so good and executed brilliantly. I think it’s interesting to see Rose and the Doctor laughing at the start of this story, it really shows how desensitised they’ve become and how lightly they take the danger they’re often surrounded by. They’ve been called out on their behaviour before by Queen Victoria in the episode “Tooth and Claw” and moments like this prove she had a point. Although, once the Tardis is presumed to be lost their whole demeanour changes and that’s quite compelling. It’s like it begins to dawn on them how tough and dangerous the life they’ve chosen for themselves really is once they’re trapped in one place and have no way of escaping. They can’t just run away like they always do, they’re forced to take the slow path and face the consequences of their actions. I love the great scene between the Doctor and Rose, when they discuss what they’re going to do now that the Tardis is gone. It’s so fascinating to see how terrified the Doctor is by the thought of settling down and getting a house. All of that stuff is completely foreign to him and I like how that contrasts with Rose and the way she nonchalantly suggests that they live together. It really shows that no matter how close they’ve become, they’re still two very different people with different life experiences.

I dont know if it is considered a spoiler, but all those qualities you say the Doctor likes in humans is spot on, but not because Time Lords are like that but because they arent, yet he alone is, to an extent.

I love the feel and production value of these episodes, and it's even more amazing that it was achieved, as you said, on such a tight budget. I've seen parts of the sets they used and most of it was shot on about 2 metrs of corridor, 2 metres of tunnel, a quarry and walkways in an industrial estate.

Oh I love these reactions so much! Its interesting as a Brit who saw ALL these episodes when they first aired in the 00's seeing Americans react to the series now! I get to relive all the nostalgia!

The conversation between The Doctor and The Beast about bealives is my favourite Villiain conversation in history! The Doctor, that one with all the answers all the time, was silence and wordless 3 times!!! The voice actor was truly intimidating too, that was truly my favourite interpretation of The Devil/Satan in all fiction!

Poor old ood. Never seemed to end well for them.. Great analysis - and I really cannot wait to see what on earth you make of the next episode. Hope you like eclectic 70's British rock, strangely out-of-place slapstick and the single most inappropriate thing ever broadcast in this show.

Yes, David’s an incredible actor. I saw his Hamlet in Stratford a few years ago. I was a bit dubious before I went, not knowing if he could carry off something like that. But he was absolutely brilliant.

I saw that sonic-ing of your lips, Katrina! An effective way to avoid letting anything slip about future episodes it seems, since you've done an admirable job of not spoiling Paula. This has been an especially enjoyable and interesting reaction in part due to Paula's thoughts on the religious overtones of the story. Goodness knows what she'll make of the next episode though. Guess I'll have to watch and find out!

Rose was amazing here... she has learned from the doctor. She is taking charge in a very effective way. Mostly. I would not say Time Lords are like humans in wanting to explore. The doctor was a rebel time lord-- HE wanted to do it. The Time Lords just watched, distant. But the doctor definitely respects humans. Mostly. Except the stupid ape part. :D The doctor sure can survive a fall! Mostly...
