I remember when the last iteration of Dr. Who came out. Everybody told me to watch it because I'm a big sci-fi fan but I never got around to it. I've seen some previews for this new one and it seems intriguing.

A very stylish Dr Who I must say

The trouble with RTD come back was that what he did was a complete cynical move to try and win back the toxic fan base. He didn't give Jodie Whittaker a traditional regeneration. Instead there was a malfunction which brought back David Tennant robbing Whittaker on what would've been a moving send off. So instead of carrying on with the diverse regeneration from woman to a black man, RTD cynically brought back Tenant, because he wanted to win back the toxic Doctor Who fan base, and the only way he could do that was bringing back a recognisable white man. Another cynical move was bringing back the 80s Doctor Who logo, so now RTD was giving the toxic fan base's misogynistic, & racist views validity. Not only that, but the latest Doctor is now a reboot thanks to another regeneration malfunction, so is Ncuti really the 15th doctor or will he eventually reunite with Tennant & both regenerate together & in to the true 15th doctor trying to win back the toxic fan base again. So far RTD isn't doing a very good job at appeasing the toxic fan base, because it's now been dubbed even more woke than the 13th doctor. If they had stuck with Jodie Whittaker, and had her regenerate into Ncuti Gatwa, and carried on from there, they would've stuck two fingers up to the toxic fanbase, letting them know that they would still be continuing exploring diverse subjects for the modern audience. Instead, RTD went full Tory. trying to cynically win over the the toxic grassroots but achieving nothing, & now they are jumping ship.

Something's up with this new series of DW. I don't mean the gender politics and drag queens. It's not my thing, but each generation must have its culture. I love reading comments from people my age (60s) pretending that they've never seen a pantomime dame before! Something else is up. All the 4th wall breaks. Why was Ruby being interviewed by Davina McCall? I predict something like a show within a show. Ruby is at the centre of this somehow. I think RTD is trolling the anti-woke brigades deliberately and has something up his sleeve. Maybe Ruby (looking for her biological family) turns out to be the Doctor's great granddaughter?
