Where did you get that trim piece from ?

Just installed a double din in my 2000 Dodge Dakota. I was quite nervous on doing it because I did not know how difficult it would be. Thanks to your video I did a successful install and it looks great. Thank you.

I cut mine perfectly with an angel grinder lol fits nicely with no kits but it was fun thanks for a helping hand in how it can go

Man that's actually very helpful thanks I have the same truck it's not my everyday driver but I cant stand the sound on the radio it has. But I use it every so often when I need to throw stuff or hawl something. What kind of radio did u buy and where did u find the kitt. I want to do something just like that to my dakota. How about speakers are those hard to install? Thanks in advance.

Your Dakota is exactly looks exactly like mine. Mine is a 200,4.7, 5 speed stick. Mine even has the red camper shell 😂

What brand and model# was the radio? I have a 99 dodge ram 2500 and it looks like you had the exact same OEM radio as mine. I'm thinking of buying a Boss 6.2 inches 2 din unit.

if l were you l would keep that old stereo for something else. l always loved the stock dodge stereos with all of the manual switches on them.

How is it holding up

Quick question if thats alright. I'm not so confident in my ability to actually cut the frame all that much. Is there a raido like you got but that just fits in well without having to trim anything?

Does the mounting hardware you are using work with most double din stereos and what kind of hardware is it?

But does it work? I've heard that some Dakotas/Durangos have separate discreet amplifiers and getting aftermarket radios to work with those is a real PITA.

This is a great video and all but I think were a lot of us are having issues at least I know I am. The speed sensor wire. Where does that hook up at from the stereo??

Should have made a shim in the back of the radio would take u 1t mins to pull off measure cut a shim and install again
