Doepfer Dark Time Firmware Upgrade

Doepfer has upgraded the firmware for their Dark Time to version 1.2 beta. The introduction of many new features was the reason to upgrade my unit and see how those features could extend the use of it.
One of the new fearures are five additional modes for the 1-8 Multi mode. Now I can control the velocity of each step e.g. This video is about the velocity.
Often people ask what synth I'm using. Although it's mentioned in de video: www.vintagesynth.com/yamaha/fs...
The effect used is FabFilter Timeless Delay.

You're welcome! As soon as the firmware goes out of beta I'll make a "how to upgrade" video. It's not that difficult but maybe it's useful too.

There was a question lately about where to find Firmware Upgrades. I mailed to Doepfer and they wrote that due to Website updates they are temporarily available only via email. See Doepfer website for more information.

Meanwhile a new update is installed. New is: Transpose-Looper Mode. I still have to check that out.

Nope. For ratcheting I use the Club Of The Knobs C964 Ratchet Sequencer.

If you have an earlier version available then yes. For firmware versions contact Chris Assall at software@doepfer.de . Hope this helps.

@@ciscocesco Are you sure V1.2 is installed? You can check that at start-up. What synthesizer do you use? I used Yamaha Fs1r. Velocity on the synth is set to control Filter CutOff. Dark Time second row is set to Velocity. Again, if you are in trouble contact Chris Assall. He is a;ways willing to help.

Also on the Doepfer web site is an extended manual for the Dark Time but I assume you did read that.

Great video! I am currently trying to upgrade the firmware for my Dark Time but I'm not having any luck. You might be the only one who can help me. A couple weeks ago my Dark Time stopped functioning correctly. Doepfer told me to upgrade the firmware but following their directions it doesn't seem to work. Removing the back screws and looking under the hood I don't even have a 2nd jumper (the one they want me to remove) for the update. Also their instructions for windows 7 tell me the device manager should recognize it as an unknown device so I can then browse my computer for the driver I downloaded, but I get nothing when I plug in USB. Any ideas? Although I bought the unit a couple months before the firmware was released maybe it's a malfunction that a firmware upgrade can't fix? +Apetactics Riddler Actually I sold my Darktime a few months back. BUT...I was able to get it working with the firmware update! Thanks for getting back. I regret having to sell it. Wonderful piece of gear :--)

+Apetactics Riddler On the Doepfer website the following information is available: To get the current firmware version, which you need for the update, please contact software@doepfer.de for this. Important: We need the following informations for that. - Serial number of the device (normally there is a label with a numer on the bottom side of the darktime) - Where (dealer) and when(date) did you get/bought the device ? - From which country you are. I don't know why they removed the firmware versions. I still need to ask why.
