I was very lucky! But just having one completely transforms what you can do with an old synth.

Good question! I've sort of managed to make the second DDT ratchet the first, but it isn't pretty. The second DDT needs to have its divider set to the rate you want the ratchet at. DDT1 needs to be set at 2x8, and you use the gate output of row 2 to start/stop DDT2. You also need a voltage mixer (I've got a moog CP251) to add the gate outputs of DDT1 row1 to gate outputs of DD2. Then when a gate fires on DDT1 row 2, the DDT2 comes on during the note and adds its faster gate pulse to the mix. It takes lot of fine tuning to get it to work! I must say, an easier way simulate ratcheting to have a delay pedal (see my MF104 in the video) which can be muted/unmuted by the gate from DDT row2.

@@murderousmaths It's impressive that you went through that process. I'll be ordering two DDTs. Not specifically in hopes of achieving ratcheting... mainly for controlling two different synths. But it seems like having two opens up some weird and fun possibilities you couldn't do with just one. Thanks for sharing your processes! The delay gate muting tip is pure gold!

There's a lot you can do using the gates from DDT1 to control start/stop/reset of DDT2. Have fun!

You're not talking about athletics are you? I hope not! Here goes: JUMP is a shortcut to using several SKIPS. If you have a sequence playing steps 1-8 and you just want notes 2345 to play, you can set 1, 6,7,8 to SKIP, or you can set 2 and 5 to JUMP and the sequence will cycle between them 2345. At about 4:20 on the vid, I had step 4 on JUMP. With just one JUMP the DT plays 1234. I then clicked step 3 to JUMP and it then only plays 34.
