I've been looking for the episodes where Kirsten makes a lizard picture or something from cereal, a steam train from recyclable rubbish, a decoupage lunchbox, a picture using coloured plastic cut into leaves & dragonflies made from train tickets Could you please tag me if you can find them?

Dr Who! I wonder if it's possible to go back and appear in one of the early programmes?

As a British synth maniac I hope to still have and be enjoying all my gear in my nutty room when I'm your age
@murderousmaths7 ай бұрын
I'm so lucky! It's the room I've always wanted since I was about 10 years old and first got to play on a Wurlitzer organ.
I just got my own recently many many years late, and I love it! Nice to see so much enthusiasm still for this wonderful synth.

Thank you for this video, it's a really neat approximation for a pentagon. I have not seen a pentagon folded from a square this way before. Is this your design? With just a few more folds, it makes a really nice 5 pointed star, and the long point at the back makes a convenient stand.
@murderousmaths8 ай бұрын
I've known this pentagon fold for so long that I can't remember where I found it, but I'm glad you like it!

Is that a QY in the background (QY70, or 100, or some-such …)? 🧐😊
@murderousmaths8 ай бұрын
Well spotted! It's a QY100 which these days I mainly use to drop in a few tasty drum and perc samples. About 30 years ago I had a little QY20 and the drums on that were heard on my tv themes, but the screen failed so sadly it just gathers dust now!

To answer your question as to what the three control buttons do on the in the later models. (I've got a Korg/Arp Odyssey.) First off, they're not actually buttons, but pressure switches/pads, that act as springed potentiometers the harder you push. The one to the left bends the pitch down, the one the right bends the pitch up, and the one in the middle is for vibrato. (And boy, they're hard to push on mine!)
