I did a meal prep which included grated fresh turmeric. I usually set these out overnight so all the fresh ingredients has time to soften and mix together. These are set on a pan on the counter. I didn’t notice that some of the fresh turmeric had spilled and slid the pan over it. This sat for more than 12 hours. When I picked up the pan I was horrified. It had been sitting on on my mostly white epoxy countertop. What absolutely surprised me was that a couple times with Lysol disinfectant cleaner got all the turmeric out. I had used the gritted topcoat, so I was really surprised my counter wasn’t ruined.

@legarri would acetone remove aka nail polish remover or mineral spirits remove stains on your products without doing damage to it. I have used acetone to remove some of the worst stains usually acetone is the go to if it won't damage a product because things like the mustard or others that alcohol won't may not completely remove acetone would in most majority of cases get the things all the way up the thing is its one of those products that may damage the surface or material of the product your removing. So while the stain may come up it may not be a good option because while it will remove the stain it may remove or pull up some of the the color or dye in the product stained. Just curious if anyone has tried to remove a stain from a area with some things that are a little stronger then alcohol or that has been used to remove things from some material that has worked for years such as hydrogen peroxide that's been used to remove blood from cloths or carpets for years without any damage to the products. Just wondering sense legarri has a warehouse set up to do these kind of test with a cost loss rather then someone trying it on a job site where there could be damage or cost affect to one of your installing customers which is the point to cut back on damages or profit loss having a cleaner made or designed whether it is to specifically for your product's to remove such things without having a loss in profits with the product or man hours seams like it could be a win win for both your installing customers to not lose money and a quick clean fix or for another product that can be sold with to them. It just seems if legarri could come up with such a product everyone involved could benefit from it especially if it is cost affective and can be sold as something installing just carry on their 🚚 to use for accidents whether it be by the installer or by another contractor or it could be used to fix as a call back and possibly even sold with a small mark up to the customers as a kind of cleaner and stain removal kit as a legarri brand cleaning and up keep kit. If it works i couldn't see why every customer wouldn't want a kit along with the rest of their cleaning products. Which could also make a good resale item to customers that could even be a good way to get installing customers to make sure they try to sell it to each home or business owner because even if it was small like a 3%profit for reordered kits after they do enough jobs and the customers like the products that 3% could add up to a nice bonus check each year that will only grow as long as the reorders grow with longevity of the installers get more customers.

Was this a stain test of the Leggari epoxy, or was this a stain/cleanup demonstration of the urethane topcoat?

But white epoxy yellows overtime, so you don’t need spills to ruin it, it ruins itself . Correct me if am wrong, I did two countertops and they both turned yellow, I used white spray paint for the color and no top coat

There is a chance that Pure white epoxy changes appearance over time. We always recommend using a topcoat to decrease the chance of staining or damage to any epoxy surface.

Good question, we didn't use bleach in our stain test but that'd be a great product to use for a future test!
