I've ran Amsoil for a long time, I use the 3 different fluids they sell for the bike, engine oil/primary/trans....never had an issue, I trust Amsoil.....everything I own has Amsoil in it, easy online site, quick shipping, got an oil for every application, one stop shop

Great video! I started using Amsoil a few years back in my 14 FLHTK, loved it. Then I bought their trans and primary fluids, what a difference. I won't use anything else. It lasts longer too. Just moved to Arizona from Illinois. It's doing well in 110 + temps out here so far. Thanks again !!

Love the content👍 I’ve been using AMSOIL in my bikes (08 Heritage - 43,000 miles and 08 Dyna - 65,000 miles until I laid her down in a hailstorm). I use severe gear 75w-90w in the tranny, primary fluid in primary and 20w-50 in engine. Highly recommend their oil. I’ve run Redline and Syn 3 and went back to AMSOIL. When my engine case on the Heritage was resealed (not an oil issue unless you’re talking about the oil leaking) and new rings were installed the tech (15 years as a master technician) said he runs AMSOIL exclusively. The argument will live on for as long as we have motors but I’m happy with the product.

I use Amsoil severe gear 75w-140 in my Tri Glide tranny for about a year now and I am very happy with the results.

Been using Amsoil synthetic products from the day I bought my ride over 8 years ago. It just plain works. Easier shifting and stays cleaner from my perspective. Good stuff. In the summer with triple-digit temps, anything to help with breakdown of fluids are critical.

I just did three hole change and used 85w140 maxima for transmission. Huge difference in shifting. Much better. Less noise too

I have been using amsoil Products in my 2017 Road Glide I use there Synthetic transmission fluid It works well I have a new problem finding neutral and the shifting is smoother I also use the primary fluid They make a great product

Perfect timing i contacted amsoil dealer near me already has the severe gear in Stock was just waiting for the oil filter to come it's here today just got mail my previous bike was a 2009 ultra when I put se sync in tyranny it would come out blacker than black when I had used syn castrol gear oil 75w140 it came out nice and golden brown no wear what so ever on parts

I've used the Amsoil sever gear trans fluid and it works well to quiet down the shifting and also to find neutral, but the Redline, 75-250 Shock Proof, transmission fluid works even better.

Amsoil Adam changed the tranny fluid in my 2017 RGS at the MB Rally in May. I noticed the difference immediately and I’m very pleased. The bike shift much smoother, and precise. I highly recommend this.

if you are running a compensator sprocket check that,having trouble neutral is generally a sign its going bad.

I talked to Adam about it also and I put in the 75/140 Severe Gear Transmission fluid in my 2022 FLHT and with out a doubt it's smoother and quiter. John also been doing allot of resarch and 60 weight Amsoil should be in your bike in the summer especially for Sturgis as it keeps the bike running much cooler then in the fall go back to 20/50!!!

Sorry for the delayed reply. I've been using Amsoil Severe Gear 75-140 in the transmission on my 09 FLHRC, with 103 upgrade. Has 150k on her and still running hard. Just bought a 2022 FLHTK and going to run the same, of course Amsoil 20-50 for engine and primary. Rubber side down folks Ken

Amsoil fluids are great in general. I definitely love using their trans and primary fluids. I think engine oil is really dependent on the conditions (temps) duration between changes. Change often whatever you do and definitely inspect the plugs before cleaning them. Thanks for another great video.

I reached out to Amsoil to ask them about using the severe gear 75/140 transmission oil in HD transmissions... this is their reply: "Richard, we recommend using either our 20W-50 Synthetic V-Twin Motorcycle Oil, product code MCV, or our Synthetic V-Twin Transmission Fluid, product code MVT, in your Freewheeler's transmission." FYI

I ran 75-110 in my 1998 Road King Classic this season. It seemed to shift a little better and finding neutral was a little bit easier. I emailed Amsoil because I wanted to know if I could run the 75-140 severe gear in my tranny and still be OK. They replied with...Amsoil doesn't recommend using Severe gear in the tranny at all. So now I'm a little hesitant about putting fresh severe gear in.

I went to Amsoil 75w-140 severe gear in my transmission after 90,000 miles and it’s made a deference. 2011 Ultra limited @ 108,000 miles now.

Good stuff on Amsoil Adam’s products. I was blown away with how much product he carries. I agree the thicker stuff he carries can’t hurt, certainly protects and won’t be breaking down. Not to mention his Banshee Lithium battery is off the charts great, and the lightest weighing battery on the market.

Thrashin ez shift inner arm, Greene bros shifter linkage, and baker truss shift lever (which is the lever in rear of linkage). That’s the formula for a solid shifting bike and resolved my neutral issues.

Yes, installed it about month and half ago on my 2020 road king special and you can feel the difference from your first shift, finding neutral is simple. The whole Thrashin bagger controls are amazing

I’m from the south and man it gets HOT here. My thoughts on running that heavily gear oil in the tranny comes the extra heat with that thick of a oil. As we all know we sure don’t need any more heat. As you said it will help with the noise and smoother shifting.

Hey guys. AMSOIL has a 250 severe gear as well if you really want to go that heavy. Of course being it is 100% real synthetic but a 250 it's going to be thicker but should still flow.

Next time try Redline Transmission Fluid with Shockproof. It’s a 250 weight. It’s the best oil I’ve ever used in the tranny.

My girlfriend has been around bikes and bikers her whole life. Imagine my consternation when she touched a guys brand new harley. Turns out she new the young man and was just screwing with him. I was like honey are you trying to get me into a fight. She just giggled.

a thicker viscosity does NOT necessarily make it better. It will largely depend on the tolerances of your gears and what its designed to run. A thicker viscosity could actually increase the drag on your tranny. Therefor INCREASE operating temps.

Absolute junk I have a 2019 Electra glide standard couldn't find neutral noise got louder went back to amsoil regular trans fluid much better for my bike

Just sp you know the Amsoil Transmission oil is 75- 110 not 75-140. Its still better than everythibg else oyt there other than Spectro oil that is 75-140 FYI
