I wouldn't doubt that it exists solely from the FACT that it exists in other games. Blizzard owns a patent for the program in Overwatch. Losers queue HARD exists in Overwatch. A dude made it his life to research it and posted his results on Twitter. And in his studies he had multiple different accounts from every region, across every rank. And every single time those accounts, on a basis per matches played, would then receive deadweight teammates. They were given games so statistically stacked against that it was not logically fair at all. And no, it wasn't a "oh x name onetrick unlucky". It was intentionally putting bought acc players and underdog lobbies. So why would I doubt a vastly more popular and older game wouldn't incorporate this system to dopamine farm their players? The issue is how much more deep League is so logically its hard to tell. Overwatch is literally made for morons, so the experiments weren't required to be more than they were.

Losers que is 100% real. This season alone after about 180 games I had a 74% winrate gaining only 18lp losing 28. 74% in almost 200 games... games were mostly cooperative, semi competitive, but a nice and steady climb. One game from diamond I was matched with somebody who saw my 18 game winstreak and ran it and then quit the game trying to force my loss. I said some bad words before he left, telling him what a loser he was. I GET CHAT RESTRICTED LOL. AND THEN FOR LIKE 10 GAMES IN A ROW I GET TEAMS WITH ALMOST EVERY PLAYER ON 5+ GAME LOSS STREAKS. In the next 100ish games I went from a 74% winrate at 200 to like a 54% winrate, IN THE SAME ELO AND AFTER MY CHAMPION WAS GIVEN A BUFF. Isn't that convenient? Every season on my main account it's basically the same scenario. Lp gains don't match my winrate and then the very obvious forced losses.

Last season I came back from a 2 year break with high diamond mmr when I hadn't played. Bro when I tell you I got shit on every game for a long time lol I almost quit the game again because it wasn't fun for me even... Eventually I made it back to high diamond but afk accounts should 100% lose mmr

Definitely true for MMR resets. After a sweaty S3 (gold/plat) I quit. I came back to see if the game is fun, and was matched at the same rank. I consider myself iron now...I don't even know what's happening. We won but I lost real hard.

I am kinda on both sides on this discussion... I think losersQ is not real, but i am a gold / plat player who probably will win more in gold than in bronze. I am currently Queing up for flexQ (bronze 1 placement games) and it feels like soloQ in plat is easier. I always thought i rather be up against good enemies with a good team than bad enemies and a bad team. I feel like if everyone is good i can be the deciding factor, but if everyone is bad it simply a coinflip. i ping them not to go to baron, but they will still do it and get aced, moments like these often are not in my control and that makes the game so much harder.

I think what separates Neace from other coaches that he remembers that this is a game and people want to have fun. When the client said that "I just bought the skin and was watching myself dance at tower" Neace just kinda laughed with him. I feel like other coaches want to be like Gordon Ramsey or something and would've had an over-the-top "OH MY GOD, Are you kidding me??? You're not taking this seriously???? I’ll win like 10 games in a row then get matched with ragers, inters, griefing, purposefully losing, and going afk. I don’t mind playing against hard opponents. But when I play against a Smurf and 3 plats on enemy team and 2 brand new accounts, 1 silver and the 4th person is raging, afk, griefing, or literally afk runs into the tower cuz he’s on a 8 game lose streak. That’s the shit that bothers me. I don’t mind the enemy team getting stacked, but the enemy team getting Stacked AND my team is trolling or griefing is bs

I've learned win streaks and loss streaks are more based on mindset, for me personally. It's hard to quantify but essentially I get loss streaks from anxiety about being perfect in the game, and win streaks from staying calm and analyzing just enough of the game state to win.

It does exist. You can trespass it if you are better than your elo by at least a whole rank, like for example smurfers. But Riot/Tencent definitely have retention algorithms to purposefully keep you at your level. This is the case with other video games already and it is known, and league isn't outside of this. But yes, if you do improve on your gameplay, over time you should be able to climb, especially when bronze silver and there is a lot of leeway upwards. But if you are just slightly improving, you will get purposefully held back by receiving purposefully angry and toxic players, which is what losers queue is. One point where i do hard agree, though, is the hard reset. Too many people get propulsed into their last years rank after 30 games, with no effort, while most then never again touch rank. This is ridiculous. You should earn a rank, not just freely receive the one which is "presaved" because of mmr of the account.

Losers queue is simply elo matchmaking combined with statistical variance. It’s possible to coin flip lose 6 games in a row.

I know losers queue doesn't exist, but boy is it hard to believe there's nothing going on with matchmaking. How do I end up with 4 afks in 4 consecutive games, one of which we actually won somehow. I was the ace in 4 of my 6 losses where I had 4 afk's in a row. It feels like I can't do much to affect this. I can grind higher elo's in chess reliable, I used to be able to climb in league, but somehow league is just harder to climb nowadays. Me playing well is no longer good enough to have a positive winrate.

The talk around minute 8:00 to 9:00 about the invading.. now the next level is to ward the bush stroke in mid where you're supposed to go from behind the wall. Now you see the person going inside that bush with absolutely no vision and nobody around. Now you pull him in from outside of the wall, being Blitzcrank. I don't know yet what will really be the next level after that ;) but mindgames can be funny and/or finding solutions to problems.. So you best stick to your end of the wall if you're going to follow Neace's advice here, because it can backfire.. Even if Blitz DOESN'T pull you, they can group up from both sides and start invading you (with the vision from said ward), forcing often at least a free Flash wasted on you, if not First Blood kill.

This is a solid coaching session.

Losers queue absolutely exists, but not every player that experiences frequent lose streaks is actually in the losers queue. On one hand you've got players that lack discipline, and will change their champions or positions DAILY. They will experience lose streaks because they are too confident in flexing to other champions. But on the other hand you have a situation that for example happens to me every season. I comfortably hit high Diamond 3/ reaching about 64% winrate. This season I was getting +33 LP in that elo. And suddenly I get absolutely tilted players in nearly every game from that point on. I was still playing my mains (Riven top, Nidalee jungle) and I started getting players that would finish the game at 2/13, or 1/8. And I don't mean one player in the game, I mean 3 other players in my team. You can't explain to me how as a 63% winrate Riven (at that time) can suddenly lose 19 games in a row in 3 weeks. Nearly no amount of roaming, ganking, playing objectives or snowballing the game will win you these games consistently. At some point you just try to scale and force the enemy team in situations when they are most likely to commit mistakes. Over the next 3 weeks I've slid down to Platinum III. It's not even about tilt, I take breaks and maintain a healthy mindset. And some of my friends experience the same thing. To play this game, and not admit that there are some matchmaking tricks that keep you playing the game longer is a sign of ignorance.

Look. This is my first season and I have played about 700 games and I have consistently gone from easy winstreaks from silver 3 to 1 game from gold promo and throwers all the way back to silver 3. I have no idea if losers queue exists, it just seams like a weird pattern that I have consistently gotten

4:30 and thats the problem with "losers Q". Even if you play your best, there are 4 other players that can fuck up, and the further you drop, the more chance of having fuck up players in your team. This is an issui that keeps prevaling till Gold 4-2 ish. After that you get people who understand the rudimentary fundamintals of the game. Dont feed, lanecontrol, warding, objectives etc. An MMR System that is focused on Cheese Single Players cant properly work in Multiplayers games,.. or at least on low Elo.

I remember trying to climb in wow and when I would go onto a win streak I would reach 1780 and would be matched up with people that are 2k+ and this would cause a lose streak until i started matching with people who are 1700 or 1500

It's the same reason I mute my team, I get to enjoy my time playing because I'm not being flamed for everything, or at least if I am, I don't know about it so it doesn't impact me There's not a single thing I can learn about the mmr or ranked system that matters to me... I'd say buying a new mouse pad would be a smarter investment than to spend time thinking about if you're in losers queue or not Who cares, this is the same reason I don't check ranks and stuff before the game... For example, you could be facing a dude whos ranked higher than you, you don't look it up so you have no fear to engage because you don't respect his skill based on a preconceived notion... Now imagine you did look up ranks before the game and see the enemy are all a higher rank, now in your own mind the game is lost and you haven't even started playing Ignorance is bliss.

Losers queue exists but it’s unintentional. Sometimes you just get put into a game that you can’t win so you just move on to next. And I only really experience this when my mmr goes to diamond 4/ plat 1.

League uses engagement based matchmaking. This was confirmed when they filed their patent for their matchmaking system years ago and further confirmed with the data mine leak months ago that showed the client checking if someone was on a "streak" in order to autofill them or not. It is not solely based on MMR. MMR only serves as the base then the client checks for "behavioral data" which can mean anything from "this player has been winning too much" to "this player hasnt reported enough players" and the client will do things like autofill you or your teammate or match you with players with behavioral profiles for leaving games or feeding. Again this is not an opinion or a conspiracy theory, this is literally in their patent and further confirmed with data mine leaks.

Loser Q is real. It's not even that the games are harder, it's that I'm lumped with bigger idiots progressively.

His MMR is Indeed silver but that is because the system itself made him win the past 7 games. To really get your argument set, you have to go through the past games and review them and conclude to us if he won the games because of his superior skills, carried by others who were able to win the games for him, or matched against opponents that were literally bots. In the end, if the system tries to make you lose to drag down your MMR, it also means that the system tries to make others win to boost their MMR. It is a vicious circle.

i have bad experience with this game, wich is probly why i suck as a player despite having played this game for close to a decade. i am currently unranked. when i tried to climb, iron never existed. for 6months i tried to get out of bronze non stop and i just couldn do it. one season i tried to see for the fun of it to see where lol would give me a ranked placement. i lost 9 out of 10 matches and i got silver. i will give my reasons for why i suck and why i belive in losers queue. 1.i am too dependent upon teams who can carry their fair share of work in the game, and in low elo, it just isnt a thing. 2.i have to do most of the job or i lose. multiple times the enemy team go all in on our inhib, and then 3 on my team go to farm lanes or jungle. 3.low elo doesent take turrets or inhibs, they rather chase 300g worth of champs and be 17/2 then be 2/8 and take inhibs. 4.when they lose, they just to do the same mistake all game and want out of the game. they also tend to flame and put others down so it kill team morale wich icreases loss rate 5.when low elo takes baron, they tend to go and farm lanes or jungle then win fights so the game can be ended. 6.nobody knows how to end wich makes most game last 40min for no reason, in wich case, its not about skill anymore that you win but luck. 7.evrybody belives different things in what makes you win wich can also be a hard reason people have a loss rate. and the more people lose in this game, the more crap makes them expect losses, wich weakens morality and jugdment calls. 8.i dont have faith in the mmr system. i have a negative win rate, and i meet players in gold elo who are able to farm 10+cs a minute or more and then have 25kills at the end of the match. and this happens all the more so after play with friends, wich makes me not want to play with my friends when its just gonna kill the quality i would love to experience about league. 9. i have a rough time adapting to changes. i need too much time learning evrything. and each new season it feels like i have to relearn everything wich has been one of many reasons league has given me bad experiences 10. Fogged talked about this himself and said he understood that the mmr system fucks up for low elo players and makes sure that they are unable to climb. so no matter what, an certain % of low elo players will always be low elo. it easy to argue how they all should just become good. but when this game just beats your ass every game, it just takes your ability away to see yourself become good i get how all of this sounds like an excuse. and i take responsibility for the fact that i suck. because i abselutely do suck at this game. but this is not an excuse a supose to an observational experience i have when i play this game. and so i cant help but to belive in losers queue

Loser que 100% Exists! I watch all of your jungle training videos and went on a 12 game win streak an took a break for a couple of days. I came back on a weekend and lost 10 games in a row. I have pretty good mental too. I have all chats muted and only ping with teammates yet I got sooo many AFK teammates, or baby ragers/inters in my games I literally thought I was back in bronze. It made no sense going from decent/equal level games where my actions mattered and influenced the game to games where even if i played perfectly the teammates acted like they didn't want to win. An after a 10 game loss streak I started getting decent teammates and went on another win streak but by the end my elo was back where i started..... TLDR: Loser que exists if you deny it you're ignorant of the facts lol

It Absolutely does neace and its extremely easy to tell if you're in it or not I have a little test I do as jungler at the start of every game I do the guard ping at the entrances of my jungle and if the team stands there to watch for invades it's winners q if they stand anywhere else it's losers q out of my past 20 every game they defended invades I won every game they didn't I lost

I grinded to Silver 1 60lp, I am now back to Silver 4. Do not tell me Loser's queue is not real. My skill level has not changed, only the trolls in my games have been more present the moment I hit Silver 1 and that's a fact.

The problem is when you get your winstreak MMR boost, go against higher ranked enemies, but your allies stay the same shitty elo you were before.

If you are wining, the system whants you to loose, and if you are loosing, the system whants you to win... This is not bullshit, this is not just league, this is not theory, this is gamedesign, how to keep players playing , this is pvp queue system 101... Every pvp system is build so you can stay close to 50% winrate, no meter how good or bad you are. So in this type of game, a very good player that plays one or two games a weak will never catch-up a bad player that plays 2 to 5 games a DAY.

MMR should be thrown out of the window. If i am stronger than bronze, but bronze 3 i should keep fighting bronze 3 and get higher, not making it me harder for me to win and get to a higher rank where i belong.

If someone at Diamond rank hasn't played for years, there is no way that person is still at Diamond rank. There's decay, there's a drop-off, there's the simple fact that their mechanics suck. You're throwing out terms that a lot of us other players throw out, but you don't know what they mean. A "smurf" is someone's other account that they're using after they hit their peak, can't win anymore, and have resorted to stomping on the low-rank players to get their jollies. "Loser's queue" is when you get multiple games in a row where your teammates cause a game loss, typically common in low rank due to not being a good enough player to carry your 3 pushed lanes or 2 pushed lanes and blind jungler (and that last one is coming from someone who jungles but switches to top lane in hopes of getting a decent jungler). Loser's queue is usually preceded by a series of games where your team was winning.

Master 2 best champions in your main role and losers que will be your friend. (i.e. master Kayn and Zed if your a jungler)

the ONLY thing that would prove losers que doesnt exist is if you let a silver player destroy a diamond+ account down to gold or silver, then get any coach to climb that account. Another proof of what losers que is is how you can get a brand new account, shoot up in rank (like how ill effortlessly get plat on a fresh account) but when im on a 10-20 game win streak or up in games to where i have a recent 80% win rate, just to go into a loss streak while also not gaining more lp is garbage, especially if my current climb is affected by fucking around at the beginning of the season, when overall win rate should have 0 affect on where you are in a climb, nobody with a 45-48% win rate should be ranked higher than me and there is no argument to it especially if theres a game im jungling and overall macro or certain actions in the game are entirely out of my control like getting invaded and nobody collapses. Theres infinite arguments to why it exists and just saying perfecting fundamentals is not always the counter argument meanwhile your mmr games youre playing in does not always refect a climb, like going 32/4 but the next game you play youre playing against a lower rank game is also a shit rank system, if you win your last game, your next game should be the same or higher than your previous game no if ands or butts

it does exist but if you duo or you are smurfing way below your Elo you will be affected way less because you might be able to save one of those doomed games, your pick also matters if you are not on a hyper carry you will win less. it is Riot's way of balancing stuff, keeping you grinding and playing more. anyone who says it doesn't exist is delusional as hell you can see the patterns, once you start winning a lot the system literally kicks in automatically, your Queue timer will be up and your matches will be fixed to have a lower chance to win, winning some of those matches doesn't mean the system doesn't exist, it means you good enough to beat their system a couple of times.

Jokes aside, ive seen accounts who litterally lose 50% more points than they win. Example, win = 10 lose = 15. As a programmer obviously I can say this is just poor coding, but at the same time its a reality for some low elo folks. Maybe not a hard reset, but it doesnt take a genius to see thats bad for business and the game's health. ANY time a fellow programmer can look at your product and identify obvious coding mistakes, youve already lost alot of respect just because youre lazy with your craft.

Lost me as soon as you said there's no losers q. There's hard evidence. Also (anecdotal) I just made a new account. Playing normals. 21 Wins 22 Losses. Guess the normal game MMR. You can't. I'm getting matched with Emerald/Diamond players every single game. The LoL algorithm is strong enough to figure out your real skill level extremely quickly. Then they make the matchmaking so your winrate will become relatively balanced. Of course you're still gonna win 90% of the time climbing from bronze to gold let's say, but as soon as you can't 1v9 anymore and you have to rely on your team, then the matchmaking often feels fixed (because it is kind of).

The way everyone defends the concept of "Loser's queue" you'd think you all call any number of just losses or bad games "Loser's queue" as if its a conspiracy. Sometimes your wins and losses line up in a row doesn't mean there's a special queue for that. What - is a few wins in a streak then "Winner's queue?"

Just pointing at basic facts to help us get to the clear and obvious correct conclusion here. Yes, loser's q exists. That's not a question. The question is how much you let it's existence effect you. There are some games that are unwinnable, but that doesn't change the fact that you should still approach each game with a winner's mindset if you truly want to climb.

I’m hard stuck bronze 1 Lee otp, literally get to 90lp then get 5 games with DCs, inters, trolls and enemy Smurf’s. I was agains a plat 1 kha jungle earlier (smurfing in bronze), we lost, he was better than me but the elo system should recognise I didn’t do too bad against him and put in silver.

Problem with low elo is the lack of fundamentals and tendency to int and/or go afk. If you suck in your lane you need to start farming and play safe and don’t give a 1000 gold to the enemy laner for free. Gold is the goal everything in the game is just obstacles to get gold.
