The raid was big. It was beautiful. Everyone said so. No one has ever seen anything like it. There was so much love in the air. Everyone was hugging and kissing. It was simply the best.

Seeing our president call out Jon Stewart and congratulate and thank him made me cry. I saw what he did last week when those awful repugs high fived each other for stopping the bill. It made me sick to my stomach. Jon called them out and wouldn't take no for an answer. So, to see it pass now is wonderful! I study history and even the Civil War vets had to beg for help after the war is over. No one wants to remember. They want to forget. But we cannot forget veterans who gave their lives and health to keep us free. Thank you, Colbert, for putting this important information in your monologue tonight!

I love Garland's handling of this. All the Republican leaders were crying, "Show us the warrant!". Garland calmly said, "Ok. We've moved to unseal the warrant and property receipt. Oh, and Trump has a copy. of them." So now those those leaders will be demanding Trump release them, right?

Love both Jon and Stephen truly both gems and true heroes. Over a decade ago I was taking care of a terrific highly intelligent young man who was dying of cancer. His wish was to go to the Jon Stewart show and meet him. Someone found their way to his staff: not only did he go to the show and meet Jon S, he told me Jon sat and spoke with him for over a half hour. The young man included it as one of the best evenings of his too short but well lived life.

I have loved Jon a bit longer than I have loved Stephen. Both have taught me that comedy about reality, is still reality, and does not diminish, but it enhances, brings clarity, and has a tendency pull me back from anger about certain issues.

Jon Stewart is a simple, modest, unassuming person who just happens to be a celebrity that's incredibly funny and immensely popular. He has reminded us once again of this adage I tell my students on the regular: "How do you change the world? You CARE. You CARE enough about something to give your ENTIRE self to it, no matter what it is." Every person in my life who I admire has this quality. My wife takes in kittens and cats, we foster them and then adopt them out. She has literally given blood, sweat and tears to help over 150 cats in just the last couple years find good homes either as barn cats or adopted out to loving families and homes. Jon Stewart has this quality, as I've said. And in that vein, it's fitting how much we can see how LITTLE T***p cares about anyone but himself, and how it has infected the entire cult who worships him as a false idol.

When I tell you the speed bag joke took me out, I mean I formed a six pack from laughing😂😂😂😂

John S., even if it makes you uncomfortable, you should be proud because you stood up for people who couldn't stand up for themselves. And you helped make a big difference in the lives of so many.

Unsealing the search warrant & itemized receipt can provide exact details & remove speculation. Also, congrats to Jon for seeing his hard work pay off. I love the laughter from Stephen as he does exactly what will annoy Jon the most: praise him publicly.

I was fortunate to watch the President’s speech and the signing ceremony. The care on that man’s face and the recognition he gave to Jon was enough to have me in tears. Thank you for giving John anothershout out Mr Colbert.

If Jon Stewart hadn't mobilized immediately and gone on every network he could to hang the PACT Act around Republican necks, that bill would not be signed. It needed someone high profile enough to gain an audience and with the right wisdom to sell it. While absolutely everyone who worked tirelessly on this shares in the glory of what happened and it helps so many people worthy of help, there was no one more critical to getting it past this final stupid hurdle than Jon Stewart.

"Does Trump have rats in his inner circle?" Well, does he still have an inner circle? If so, then I believe he recruited all rats to begin with . . . so . . . yes?

Jon Stewart is what we need in our country. He's a true American who fights for those who need the help!!!!

A humble man - Jon Stewart's well deserved standing ovation. As another Veteran overlooked from Agent Orange exposure while stationed at Johnston Atoll in 1973 I humbly thank you as well for not letting us be the forgotten casualties.

I stood up clapping like an idiot in my own damn house for Jon. I have heard Mr. Stewart say things over the course of his career that makes me feel like he honestly believed he has not been a positive force, that he didn't make the world a better place than he found it. It's there, if you read between the lines. I think there are even times he's felt like he wasted his life working as a comedian making fun of the news... We should all be so lucky to have accomplished 1% of that Stewart has done to make the world a better place. It is extremely, extremely, extremely unlikely anyone with the show will ever read this, but... I just want him to know, no matter what else, the world is a better place for the work he's done. With the resources he had to work with, he has done more good in the world than anyone else I can think of, he didn't have vast wealth, or the backing of a country or a vast charitable organization. All he did was talk to us a few minutes a night through a window into our lives. And made the world a better place, word by word. And the same freedom enjoyed by any other person to go out and do everything they could with the sweat of their own effort to change the world. And I praise him for that. Imagine if we all did that. Just got up, walked out the door, and chose to make the world a better place, no matter how hard, or how long it takes.

This accomplishment aided by Jon Stewart isn't even the first great achievement. The first was aiding the passage of a bill guaranteeing medical benefits and aid to the heros on 9/11 who responded with their hearts, their health and in some cases, their lives. Congratulations Jon, you are an American treasure. And you make us laugh. A hat trick!

While the President and Stephen are right to credit Jon and other allies for the tremendous hard work, I truly wish we could live in a world where that work would have been completely unnecessary. Yet it has been a years long struggle. What a no-brainer, to care for those you sent to war. Better yet, had they not been exposed to toxins in the first place. Better still, not to have waged a war. But since we had, and they did... It's sad, really.
