I'm in Nova Scotia, and we have WalMart, Giant Tiger, No Frills (a Loblaws brand, Maxi is Quebec's equivalent), Atlantic Superstore (another Loblaws brand, Provigo is Quebec's equivalent), and Sobeys in my city. We have found the best prices among No Frills, WalMart and Giant Tiger, and only go to Superstore and Sobeys for flyer sales. And especially in generic/store brands. I feel like Save on Foods is probably equivalent to Sobeys here.

Thanks for the comment. This is great information. We live in BC now, but I’m familiar with Sobeys in Ontario, in fact that was one of my first jobs.
