There's nothing more beautiful than seeing an animal sleep peacefully, in safety and with a full tummy!
@jenlfpotter3870
@jenlfpotter3870 10 ай бұрын
Ah but... this full tummy could have killed Lola. She obviously raided a bag of kibble which somebody neglected to lock safely away in a bin or cupboard. There are such things as lockable petfood bins which can hold up to 23 kg of dried food, kibble Etc. I use them for my Lab's food, although the Royal Canin kibble he has is in very thick hard plastic bags, kind of shrinkwrapped and sealed with a very strong ziplock when it arrives at my house in two large boxes every couple of months. I've only ever allowed him to have 140 g maximum per meal, otherwise, 1. He would put on a lot of weight which isn't good for his joints. 2. His stomach would eject all of the kibble he just ate if he was to het too over-excited or restless when he goes for his constitutional in the garden which follows through immediately, after he eats.

If you have an animal who has a tendency to barf down food, I'd suggest investing in a slow feeder. My kitty didn't have enough food as a kitten and now she's obsessed with it. Feeding her in a slow feeder really helps her to only eat when she's hungry. Not only does it help me manage her weight but she's happier too as she doesn't eat everything in one go and then complain she's hungry until her next meal anymore.

Another easy fix to slow down food obsessed dogs is to put a ball( eg tennis ball) in the middle of food bowl. This forces them to slow down. Also, consider putting bowl on stool just under the height of their chest. It also helps. Could possibly work for cats but would have to experiment I divide one voracious cat's daily food into 3. Morning, afternoon, and evening and that works for her

My rescued dog had a major food insecurity due to mistreatment. She would take bananas off the kitchen counter and stuff them into the sofa in case she needed them later, and we learned very quickly that she would gorge herself if given the chance. Even now - ten years later - she gulps food rather than chewing it. Small kibble, lots of water, and very controlled portions are absolutely essential. Still, she's in remarkable shape for her age.

You gotta wonder how people can do that to animals if it was done by humans. (My friend’s dog was starved, malnourished, and almost dead because of a tornado so no humans did that to her). My dog was a breeder dog originally (like all rescues). My neighbour was the breeder and sold her to another neighbour on credit. No one saw the puppy for months until she escaped one day. Her weight was supposed to be 7 lbs but was only 4 point something. No payments had been made so friend immediately repossessed her. She nursed her back to health then when my dog died she gifted me this dog to help with my grief. This is the friendliest dog I have ever met and the most popular with my neighbors. I can’t understand how people can be so cruel

It's ridiculous that they even have to blur the needles when KZfaq allows documentary style videos of drug addicts literally shooting up. This is educational and they won't allow it. For owners of dogs like Lola who inhale their food instead of eating it: Put your dog food in a storage bin. It keeps it away from the dog and also keeps it fresh for longer. Use a slow feeder bowl. You can buy them online or at most pet supply stores. Putting the bowl higher (like on top of the storage bin) also forces the dog to slow down. If you have two dogs and one eats very quickly, feed them in separate rooms to prevent one dog from eating all the food.

Oh goodness I love this show, Dr. Chris and his staff are so amazing so full of love, they care for these animals so deeply. I am so thankful this lady brought this little baby girl a couple hours away for Dr. Cris to fix and repair it, such an act of love. That precious little Joey Earl is so adorable, you just want to snuggle and kiss them. Thank you for everything you do for these animals, it’s so amazing it really makes my heart happy that this turned out so well for Earl 💕💕💕🐾🐾🐾

You can see a huge bond between Earl and her foster mom. The way Earl used her little head to rub her mom’s neck and face is so familiar to me, it’s one of the ways my poodle Sassy shows her love for me.💖

They even blur the syringe! Just ridiculous. I, a retired nurse, find this frustrating, since i don't know animals anatomy as well as humans, obv and would like to mentally compare. People who find it disturbing can be forewarned. Please consider a solution to make both sides comfortable.

I knew that straight away with the dog, because she looked alert and not in pain. My dog did the same at a party, because she was eating food people dropped. At the end of the night she was like a balloon. She was fine though, thankfully.

Can we please have the surgeries in un blured Vision back? You dont see anything and anyone who wants to be a vet cant see what is going on. Is it youtubes fault for blurring everything? This vet show is not good for childrens but the old bondi vet was much better without everything blured away. If someone agrees with me, like my comment and maybe contact youtube to ask them. Stay safe everyone. Greetings from Germany.
