Hi there- Any of our scents are safe for dogs as the essential oils are at a low concentration of 2%, are then further diluted during bathing, and then rinsed off. Tucker has gotten more baths with our soaps than any of us can count with no ill effects. We do recommend only the Unscented soap for cats though because they are such fastidious bathers.

Going Green with Lisa Bronner hello. I will take the advice on using the unscented to wash my cat, but is it okay to use the lavender soap for my laundry with having cats? They sleep on my bed. Would it be okay to use to lavender soap to wash my bedding even if they come on my bed?

Hi there- It is important to take care with essential oils around pets. At too high of a concentration, they would very well make a dog ill. But the essential oils in our soaps is a low 2% - a very small concentration. The soaps are then further diluted during bathing and then rinsed off so there is little to no residue remaining to harm pets. In fact, customers who own birds and reptiles tell us it a safe and effective cleaner for cages and enclosures. However, if you have any concerns, use our Unscented Castile Soap which is formulated without essential oils.

Diet plays a big part you should switch to raw

@@bretrandolph7419 At that point in her life there was no way I could switch her diet, she was much too old & even the slightest diet switch was too much for her. I lost her yesterday so I can’t even talk about it but thanks for the suggestion.

@@robin31165 ok but just to let you know it's never to late to switch to raw. I personally know many dogs whose life has been saved from switching to raw. I'm talking almost dead and when switched to raw bounced back. Kibble is terrible for dogs. The worst thing you could feed.

@@bretrandolph7419 I don’t feed my dogs kibble, I cook them their own food & my blind and deaf Chihuahua with a brain tumor was on homemade food mixed with prescription food from my vet, but I get where you’re coming from. I’d rather really not discuss w a stranger your ideas on ‘what could have saved her life’ though. She was 17 years old and had a brain tumor, my last dog lived to be over 17 and my other two are 14 and 17 and perfectly healthy. I never fed them kibble one day in their lives.

@@robin31165 it's all highly processed/cooked food. Heat destroys nutrients so it's almost the same as kibble. And OK. Lol you just really don't know. Poor nutrition causes tumors. Vets are corrupt your dogs life Could've been saved by a change of diet and things like black seed oil & colloidal silver. Animals were made to consume raw things. If people would stop treating their pets as their furry family members they wouldn't have as much health problems. Humans eat cooked food & highly processed food then push it on their pets. I'm not gonna say nomore.

Late reply but when it’s to share tips about dogs it’s never too late 🤪 my vet told me I should wash mine once to twice a week he got skin issues tho ...so I think once a week is not too much

Some dogs have hair. Some have fur, so it depends on the breed. My dogs have hair. I wash them once every 1-2 weeks. Depends on how stinky they are.

That's not the soap, that's the water. It sounds like you have hard water in your home. I suggest rinsing off with a solution of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water to get rid of that white film. No harm done and it is especially safe for dogs.

Hi Amanda- It wouldn't be harmful to dogs, but it could because it is so good at picking up oil and grease, it can pick up oil out of our skin and our pets' and be drying to skin.

Hi Crystal- I am not well-versed in the upkeep of AC units, but I can comment on vinegar. While vinegar is able to kill certain types of microbes, it does not kill as broadly as bleach. If the system relies on some sort of antimicrobial solution to be safe and effective, vinegar would not be sufficient.

Hi there- Emanuel Bronner, or Dr. Bronner, was my grandfather. He passed away in 1997 and the company was then run by his two sons - my dad Jim and my uncle Ralph, assisted by my mom Trudy. When my dad passed away the following year, my oldest brother David took the helm and was joined soon after my other brother Mike. They still run the company today.

Because cats are sensitive to essential oils, we recommend to only use our Unscented-Baby Mild Castile soap.
