How can a litigant look a judge in the eye and say "Yeah there's a leash law but no one enforces it at this park"? That's like claiming I shouldn't get a speeding ticket because usually there's not a cop at that intersection.

Judge said it right. I am dog lover and have two big dogs who are sweethearts, but they are still animals and I get there are people who don't like dogs or are scared. Not everyone has to love my dogs. As I don't want every dog in my personal space.

I have a 8lbs toy poodle. I was in my neighbours backyard with my dog on a leash we were chatting, her husband arrived and suddenly my dog bit him ! I was very surprised because my dog is very friendly... animals are unpredictable.

The defendant really made me mad in this case. Dog people have a strange ego where they think that everyone likes dogs or that it's OK to let your dogs run around off leash which is against the law. Judge Milian is absolutely right some people have dog phobias or are allergic. I think some dogs are cute but I don't want them jumping on me or barking at me or biting me. People need to have more respect for others....

I had a family reunion a month ago, nice day, took our 6 month old puppy because dogs were allowed in the area we were in. There were signs everywhere saying dogs had to stay on a leash, we had him on an extendable leash so he could move about and at all times someone held onto his leash. He was happy greeting everybody and just running around in his limited space. But it was surprising the amount of dogs walking with their owners off leash.

I was bitten by my neighbours pitbull on my calf muscle and there was no hole in my denims. The teeth drove the material into my flesh. So it truly makes sense to me that there was a lack of puncture to the 79yr old trousers.

In my town it's leash or under voice control my beautiful German shepherd was never on a leash, we'd go everywhere. He wouldn't even cross a street without a word from me. He never bit anyone, he gave 2 strange men a severe warning to keep their distance but that was it. He's gone on to heaven now.
